Hello everyone. Let me first say thank you to everyone who made this amazing-seeming project. I tried reading through posts to figure out my problem, but sadly could not. So, in advance, thank you for anyone who can help me out.
I have a version 2.8 psp. I have eLoader .995 I have snesxTYL0.4.2me on my psp in the GAMES folder
When I added some roms to the appropriate folder, after loading eLoader and selecting snes, the screen just goes black and turns off after 5 seconds.
Can anyone help me out? Thank you so much!

I don't think the ME version works on anything besides 1.5 and 1.5 capable custom firmwares.

Oh. I thought that the site I am learning about all this homebrew on said that the ME version was the one to get for the eLoader version I have, and that eLoader works with 2.8.

The thing nowadays is getting 3.xx custom firmware. That way, you get all the newest official features, homebrew, and a PS1 emulator for free

Not sure how to do that, but I'll look into it. Thanks!

go to forums.maxconsole.net the psp downgrading forum, and search for 3.52 M33 or 3.71 M33

I don' t think my question need a new thread, so I'll ask in an already created one..
I'm using cfw 3.71 m33-4, and I'm pretty sure I have the 1.50 patch, because I see it available as a kernel mode, but I don't know much about this, so I may be wrong.
my problem is that I've installed tyl 0.4.2, but it will not work o.0 when I first did it, it took me to a screen where I could browse for my roms, with a faye background, but then as I started to play one, it kinda froze, wouldn't let me into the options menu to see if it changed or not, and when I tried to press home > Quit game, it froze o.0 like, entirely, I had to remove my battery to restart my psp, then when I turned it on, it went into recovery mode...
now, I'm wondering if there's a problem with my R button, because it HAS been acting rather odd while I was playing my GBA emulator, but this doesn't explain why 0.4.2 won't start up anymore at all, it flashes white after the psp game start thingy pops up, and the screen goes black, w/ the back light on, and forces me to remove the battery again to restart O.o
I was playing a previous version of tyl earlier today just fine, but this version is acting up for me (I backed it up on my pc just in case this one didn't work, but I haven't put it back on yet..) , and I dunno why o.0
help would be appreciated, thank you for your time.

1. you never have to completely remove the battery, just hold down the on/off switch for 10 seconds or more.
2. did you install it to /psp/game150/snes9x or something like that?
3. did you use the ME version of .42 (you should)

I tried again with ME, it didn't work, at first, I tried a while later, I got the opening sequence with Mario, and I chose a game, then it froze once again. It isn't my ROMS, because I used a different one each time, and I tried it in both the GAME150, and GAME
the old tyl works fine in my GAME folder, as does my gba emulator o.0
I reinstalled the older one, and it works as always o.0 but I want the new one...
This is strange x.x I'm gonna try once more...
Edit :
oddly enough, it's working fine now..I'm on 0.4.2ME, and it's running far better than the one I was using, yay ^-^
