I'm eager to offer my help to the project. I'm a software developer by trade and enjoy having projects like these to play with in my free time. I've already set up my computer for PSP development and have dabbled a bit with the source code (more like just reading).
I would love to talk about increasing the performance such that I want to eliminate the need for frameskipping altogether. I've been educating myself on the MIPS ISA and the SNESs processors. I'd like to streamline and inject assembly where appropriate.
I'd rather not ham around with this so it'd be awesome if I could talk to some of the authors of this port so I could get a feel of where this software is at. I've already tried to email yoyo but haven't heard back. If anyone knows how I can contact them please let me know.
Thanks, snow

Best bet AFAIK is an e-mail, really. He doesn't answer very often though

Already have. Just looking for a jump start but I guess I'll have to figure things out on my own.
