When I patch my games (Shin Megami Tensei 1+2 and Dragon Quest 5+6) they say it is corrupt and crashes it also happens after I patch them using Snestool. why won't my agmes run?

don't manually patch em, put the patch next to the file

well thanks for responding first I got most of them to work except DQ 6 still won't work it crashes every time I try to patch it on snes9xtyl (.4.2) it always crashes.  Also I name the ips the same as the rom. I know the rom is cool it plays it fine before I patch it. |

I remember problems with that game too.. try manually patching or another rom.. IIRC I had problems with the rom, that it wasn't the correct release? or whatever?
try it also on the PC but keep in mind that snes9xtyl is much more picky.
