I've tried a number of cominations of frameskip in conjunction with varying other settings in the snes emulator (turning off and on transparency, etc). I just tried the "Skeezix" option and everything really flies now! It's better than Auto, and works better than even frameskip 1 or 2, and let's me turn on transparency with no noticable slowdown!
Just thought I'd pass along that info and was wondering what it does to achieve superior frameskipping?
