so, i dont really get whats causing this and have messed around a bit with the settings to no avail.
Basically the transparency on enemy deaths, is only half done ... like only pieces of the monster disappear on death, and then randomly every few battles it freezes the game, but not the emulator, i can l+r and change games or reset ... =/
anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

try fiddling with frameskip for the first issue. second, no idea. try running the ff1+2 rom on the gba emulator instead.

yes it's a bit of a heavy game I guess.. there's a gba game containing ff1 and 2, not sure what it's called. I'm not sure what the emu is called but it's supposed to be really good.. look at e.g. pspupdates.qj.net or maxconsole.net

I believe he is, however, referring to the officially named "Final Fantasy 4" (which was released as FF2 in the US) - which stars Cecil, Rosa, Kain, etc
on GBA, I believe there was a "FF4 advance", containing some bonus content.. another alternative is to get "Final Fantasy Chronology" (something like that) for PS1, which included the closer-to-the-original japanese version (in english of course), and Chrono Trigger, and use this on the POPS loader...
I haven't had any trouble with this game on the snes emu, but I haven't tried it for that long.. are you sure PSP accelerated + accurate software is selected? (usually what's related to the "enemy death"-style bug you described)

oh right ff1 and 2 JAP are on that gba cartridge together. But true, ff4 was released on gba alone also.
