Hi
As the title suggest... I keep getting this message...
I used WinRAR to extract all the files from the .iso but still get that error message no matter what... I even used ISOBuster to extract the files and still the same...
Anybody knows why?
The game I'm trying to use is Fatal Fury Special...

thats the same error I get with my Double Dragon, and I own the real CD so I dont know what causes that to happen.
below is a copy and paste of my Fatal Fury Special IPL.TXT file. My FFS works with this emu. Copy it and paste it and make your own new IPL.TXT file for the game with it and tell me if it works for you.

use unzipped roms, normally cures things

having them unzipped makes them load faster and thats all, I have the same results with everygame regardless of zipped up or not.

About double dragon ipl.txt error :
Fakk2 sent a copy of his files to me so that I can test it.
I don't undertstand how such a thing can work with the original hardware :
the error is that in its ipl.txt you have
DDPRG.ACM,0,180000
(and you have a ddprg.acm file as well)
and you should have instead :
DDPRG.PRG,0,180000
(and the file ddprg.acm should be named ddprg.prg).
You see the file type is guessed from the extension.
PRG means "68000 main program".
ACM means nothing.
There was an acm file too in art of fighting, but a file with the same name and pcm extension also existed, so I made neocdpsp to test if the same file with pcm extension existed and load this one instead. It works for art of fighting, but here obviously it's not the case.
I don't know how such disk images can exist.
My advice : if you have an ipl.txt error such as this, and you are sure your disk image is correctly transferred to the psp, then try to download the image from the web. My version of double dragon comes from the web, and it doesn't have this problem.
I hope it helps.
Oh, and my ddprg.prg file is not the same file as this ddprg.acm file (same size, but crcs different). So you can't just rename the file and edit the ipl.txt, you need to redownload this from the web.

So there are more than 1 of each NeoCD that exists and some of them are unplayable on the emulator , is that what you are saying? This Double Dragon plays perfectly on my CDZ console?

Well maybe you have 1 chance left.
The file is called ddprg.acm
so in the name you have "prg" even if it's not an extension.
So I could try to search for the types in the whole filanames if I don't find anything better. But I don't guarantee it will work, this file does not even have the same crc as mine.
Either someone changed it by hand, or it's encrypted or something.

After testing, you are lucky, it seems to work !
At least it doesn't crash at start.Your game seems playable now, you'll be able to test it in the next version !

You are the man!!!  I'm glad you can get it working as it really is from the real cd not modified in any ways, I ripped it straight from the cd and zipped it up for you. Thanks a million! I didnt want to find and download what I allready bought from the Neo Store. , lol. |

hello I and had the same problem with fatal fury special the same error that the creator of the thread but in addition to left to corrupt data and the Windows to me does not let to me erase the fatal fury special folder says that this corrupt one or is nonlegible, because I and tried to erase it with a program of psp it cases out assistent, and in the fatal fury special directory very strange symbols were seen ""·$ &·/%()()==(== of this style and when and tried to erase it me to left a blue screen with directories who put that its portable Sony playstation needs technical attendance command to the technical service and codes, I and scared much and dull e psp saying that nothing had passed him, the initiated e and everything ok taken a good scare to me, but the damaged data that me to created the emulator when trying to load the game in special the psp/game/neocd/fatal directory fury sigen being corrupt, will have to format memory stick or can erase them otherwise, aid please, I hope that they understand to me, my english is very bad, I am Spanish a greeting and thanks

1st : try to run scandisk on your psp drive from windows (the disk repair tool)
It should fix it.

I had corrupt unremovable data also, just go to the Menu in the PSP and go to system settings, 4th one down is Format Memory Stick, Format it then you should be ok. Then reinstall the neo geo emulator.
