NEO4ALL/AES for Dreamcast (Possible on PSP)

Dreamcast now currently able to play neogeo rom because of the MMU.

MMU hardware is memory management unit, allows and manages virtual memory, so NEO4ALL/AES loads rom on demand.

If PSP can do MMU, than neogeo rom or CPS1/2 might be possible




Below is the latest NEO4ALL for Dreamcast

Alpha version of NEO4ALL fork for playing NEOGEO roms under Dreamcast.

First, you need convert your NEOGEO game roms with convert tool included.
Second, toast all files of dreamcast directory and place your converted roms where you want.

At the moment, 10 large games have preliminar prefetch for fine playing:
- Art Of Fighting.
- Blazing Star.
- Captain Tomaday.
- Magical Drop III.
- Metal Slug X.
- Shock Troopers.
- Aero Fighters 3 / Sonic Wings 3.
- SNK vs Capcom - SVC Chaos.
- Tecmo World Soccer '96.
- Zed Blade / Operation Ragnarok.

Games below 16MBytes can be played without problems, i have tested 44 games. Another games of compatibily list can be loaded, but you will have a lot of cdrom read switching.

If this is really possible on the PSP I think it's the greatest news I've heard since the original Yoyo and friends Snes release! The neocd emulator is awesome, but to be able to play all of those games that are only available in cartridge format is just too awesome for words. Emulation on the PSP is so d**n cool ;D

Yoyo if you have the time, such a port would, as always, be greatly appreciated.

Hello all, just an idea. . . would it be easier to port over the NEOMAME emulator? That would allow us to play AES games. Someone has already ported some of the mame emulators. And we already have NEOCD so why noe NEOMAME?
