fatal error in kof series with neocd 0.61 or 0.62

wherever the file is zipped or unzipped(kof99,kof98..),after several rounds I`ve played,it turns to be a black warning screen when starting a new round:
disk i/o error (id = 0003), please power off

It seems the problem caused by protection,I`ve searched some Protection_Removal_Tutorial link,but none of them are available now,can any one offers me some info on this please??
