I would like to translate this game to english. Does anyone on this site have any knowledge of the inner workings of the neogeo cd file system so I could change the kanji to english text any help would be great.

The man you might need to speak to is Charles Doty. He seems to be the one making the games on Neo-Geo CD now (Frog Feast) However I dont remember his webpage address. Sorry. I do know there was a group of translators out there that were working on a translation of this game also but they never got around to doig it as far as I know. Perhaps you could find it on the net with a google search. One thing I do know about the NeoGeoCD is its similar to the real NeoGeo system in that it still reads the C, M, S, P, and V roms like the real system , the files just are named differently. So all in all you would need to locate the P rom (this is my guess) and then edit it with a program. Charles Doty actually converted a few real NeoGeo Roms to play on the CD system. So he should know what to do. The problem is that Samurai Spirits RPG is not a small game with only a few files (converted roms) but spead out far more than any other neo geo cd game, so you probably would have a huge job ahead of you, (probably why nobody has done it yet, not even SNK dared to attempt an Engrish Transration)  |

You can try www.dejap.com . Someone in this site has already done something, but somehow the project is stopped. Also, you can find some great translation projects in this site. Enjoy. |
