You need UDMH, palmpowerups.com. And cleanstart (free)

MemUnfragment is for all NVFS devices, and has been superceded by Pruss' CleanStart. Get CleanStart from the 1src.com freeware section instead of MemUnfragment; it will allow you to free up a lot more DB Cache for use in LJP.

Yup, you need to use the C core for emulation. Have you checked out the compatability list on the wiki?

Yup, you need to use the C core for emulation. Have you checked out the compatability list on the wiki? It has the most popular snes roms, not all.

Hey samphex, you have a centro right? Uh are you getting Kirby Superstar to run at a playable speed?

ok so i got it but i still can't play Kirby superstar. What's wrong? Well, I don't know. The universe? .smc will be recognized, .swc not. BTW: Did the list of known extensions, I've posted once, make its way into the Wiki?

I believe it's in the FAQ.
Samphex, he was asking specifically about 3 popular games that should be in the Wiki. I believe all 3 require the C core (not sure about Earthbound though... I think it might be fine with the ASM core).

Hey samphex, you have a centro right? Uh are you getting Kirby Superstar to run at a playable speed? I was talking to TGwaste about that in PMs...It seems it can only play at a playable speed with a lot of options changed including C core and most importantly:Lightspeed. Lightspeed is an overclocker that works on the Centro.

I have tried both cores, and none of them work. It's really unnerving >.<

The TX can hardly run SNES, why should the E2? I guess the E2 doesn't have enough memory. [period]

Kind of sad, considering than only the "older" palms: Zodiac, T3, etc and some treos can run snes without UDMH...

To be specific: every new Treo has enough memory (680, 755p(?)) and the Centro too.

To be specific: every new Treo has enough memory (680, 755p(?)) and the Centro too. It's just a bit tricky to get ljp working well on 680/650. I'm thinking the Centro and the treo 755p are the best for ljp though.

No tricks on a 680. The 650 is memory wise almost like the TX.

I used to run SNES with UDMH no problem in my old Tungsten|E(1)

But that is not NVFS. So it is better in every way ;-)

Yes. I just wonder why the E2 is so problematic in this department when the LifeDrive (my experience) can run SNES OK as well.

I think it is because the E2 is a much lower-end palm than the T|X or the LD/LF. I think they just limited the dynamic/dbcache a LOT to save money. Maybe too much.

Yeah, I got my T E2 for medical reasons, but was interested in this program. It seems I cant push over 9000kB DBCache, but fine on RAM. Oh well, guess ill just stick to Gameboy / NES games on it and deal with no Chrono Trigger... : (

Mainly: NVFS (boo), stylus, price, quality (E2 seems just "nicer"), etc. Not much software wise besides 5.2 vs 5.4. Really pretty much the same though. How much memory does the E2 have (never used one)?
