Hi guys,
I'm new to this board. I'm enjoying LJP very much, and have also found MyUAE, which is a great Amiga emulator. However, I'm having the following problems (I'm using a LifeFlash w/ a 4GB CF card, setup with Dmitry's PowerDrive, 256MB RAM):
I came across the MyUAE Amiga emulator a few weeks ago, and had it running fine with my pre-PowerDrive LifeDrive. After I used Powerdrive to frankenstein my old LD into an LF, everything else is working hunky-dory except for myUAE. When I start up the application and run any program/game I get a message saying "Coudn't create default.rc Use Default Values" then it asks me to contact the developer "metaview(at)web.de". I tried that, and no response. Anyway, the OS for Amiga loads, but before some of the larger games load i get an "Error 103" code, which is that not enough memory was found. The crazy thing is that now I have oodles of more memory, both in my cache and in the RAM. The smaller games (2 disks or less) which I assume require less memory, run fine. I've tried installing the amiga on both my RAM, my LifeDrive CF, and my SD, and the same thing happens on all installations.
Any help would be appreciated, as this is a very cool emulator for us retro-loving peeps.
Thanks,

Try after a soft reset, UDMH, or cleanStart (and use a very limited profile). Do you have any BG apps running? Is your CF card read only (can you write to it from other apps), and how big is it?

I start up with UnCache and load only DateBook5, UDMH, and one or two other low-memory apps. My total Cache is over 13MB. My free cache when I start MyUAE is around 10MB. As I mentioned before, it ran fine with the same LD before my conversion to the CF card (which is a 4GB card). I can play SuperNintendo games without a problem. But it's this "default.rc" that is being brought up as the error. Googling that file or error message yields no help. The only way I found out that it may be a memory problem is by researching the "103" code that's being given by the Amiga emulator as the problem, and that's a low memory error code.
