I am having an issue where all in-game saves are disappearing when I exit LJP (not save-states, but the actual in-game saves you'd use with a Nintendo NES).
These save games are NOT disappearing if I click the "reset NES" button--only if I exit the game and come back in.
Save states work as expected, so I'm using those for the time being. I've seen this behavior in multiple roms: Dragonwarrior 1,2,4.. Zelda 1&2--so I know it's not the game.
Is there any way I can make my savegames work? They worked in 1.0RC2, but not in 1.1. Perhaps I didn't upgrade LJP right? I attempted to delete LJP through the menu on the palm and resync it, but no luck.
My Setup: Treo 755p LJP 1.1

You should also remove all the INI files you might have in the LJP folder and its suibfolders, when upgrading.

For the mean time, the games you listed can be played on the diffeerent versions on snes or gb. Or just stick with the save states.

You should'nt be able to save anyways!!! Thats how it was in the nes days and thats how it should be now. You should get a little code to right down, or have to beat it in one sitting!!!!!

Yes, and specifically Dragon Warrior II REQUIRED you to save and re-enter the game to complete the armor for your caster--the weaver won't be done until you "come back later", which means save your game and re-enter. Ordinarily, save states would be just fine, but this is kinda necessary for Dragon Warrior II. Lothsahn

I think I catched it with save states. Put it to sleep with 10HP, save state, poke ball, fail, load, ball, fail, load, etc until I got it

So couldn't you save in game, then use the menu to reset the console without exiting LJP, without even exiting the console, then re-load it? This is how I re-enable sound on the SNES once I've turned it off and lost synch in a save "state".

That gets around the issue though... srm saves should be working.
Is it possible that you resumed from a save state before saving your game? Resume from the same save state and try loading your game.

just like IR ports are necessary for pokemon crystal. Huh, is that how you catch suicune? I never could catch that thing. Even with the unknowns. no.....you have to put it to sleep while it is at red hp then catch it. There are several pokemons like ONIX that only transform in to STEELIX if you trade. I found a solution for it though. Get the srm save on a computer and use tgb dual(it allows the emulation of trading on a computer).

I'm new to this forum and think it is awesome but I consider myself to be pretty good at Pokemon and I believe the best way to catch Suicune (and any other legendary) is to whittle its health down and paralyze it so it stays in its condition for the remainder of the battle. (unless it has safeguard or another status changing move in which case it would be more effective to put it to sleep) Another advantage of paralyzing Suicune is that it will be paralyzed and not able to attack half the time which is useful in keeping your party alive. Another method not mentioned is just throwing your masterball at the Pokemon which automatically catches it without fail. If you know the hack you can also double pokemon and thier held items so you could make an infinite amount of master balls. I hope I was of sevice to all my fellow Pokemon Fanatics out there. Peace Out

Peace Out You can't do the doubling hack with any of the gameboy pokemon games. You can with advance and ds though. THAT'S WHY WE NEED PBA!

Actually, the DS doesn't work for original gameboy games. It was in the manual edit 1: You can do the double trick with silver and gold. I've cloned my cyndaquil in crystal too. edit 2: ljpforever goes to my school. He's one of my friends. Welcome to the forums YOU CAN? Great. about 20 hours have been wasted on pokemon crystal....Care to link a how to for the doubling?

I can confirm that the workaround in another thread works:
1) Load a save state 2) Reset NES through the button 3) Can continue my quest.
I store my ROMS and SS's on the flash card (not internal). I have a 755p. Appears to be a product bug.
