The title says it all. I can't post it on Tapland, because my account hasn't been registered yet and I've been waiting for quite some time. But anyways:
1. I opened up the case
2. I forgot to unplug the battery, and something started smoking. Oops, Good thing that lil' Zody still works! (But resets more often than when it hadn't gotten lit on fire. HAHAHAHAsniffsniff *starts to tear up*)
3. After unplugging the battery (phew, DONT FORGET TO DO THAT!!!) I removed the 2 screws on the inside of the device, allowing me to get at the joystick.
4. I removed the outer layer of the joystick (the "shell") allowing me to get at the innards
5. I cut small chunks out of the back, gummy substance of mouse pads that I don't use any more.
6. I put the small chunks into the small holes surrounding the joystick.
7. I closed the device, but, OH NO!!! Somehow I disconnected the Force feedback (any ideas of what caused this? Where is that cable anyway?)
Problems: A. This only seems to work for about a week or so, because the substance falls out of the hole from compressing/decompressing/wiggling out. Does anyone know how to keep it in there?
B. where is that f.f. cable...?
C. The brown tabs holding the ribbon cables seem to pop off easily, so be careful not to lose them or you'll end up using tacky to hold the ribbon(s) in place like me!
I hope that this helps those of you who have this problem of the joystick being to loose in the middle.

Mine fixed itself. I had it, it (along with other reasons) made me stop playing the zod for a few weeks (or play much less and try to go soft on the controls) and when I tried playing it again it wasn't there anymore. I just hope it won't come back.

For tapland, ill post to get you regestered. What did u sign up as? Well, I'm coder12 of course ;D Bike or Die 2? Sounds pretty cool! I was really excited when Snails was released for Palm as freeware recently, so my Zod has been getting a lot of use. If BOD2 is good then it will probably be getting a LOT more use. Of course if it uses the rumble pack I won't be feeling the goodness from it.
