Check it out: bike.toyspring.com!
New features: - Improved level design, more textures, 3D-like effect - Background music - High contrast mode - Customizable bike appearance - "Player Profiles" for storing multiple configurations, especially useful when playing with family or friends - Variable zoom - "Map mode" is no longer static, you can even play on the map screen (as long you can manage to steer a tiny bike) - Commonly used menu commands can be assigned to buttons - Future biker "skins"
I'd really check this out, at least download the demo. This new version has good gameplay AND good graphics!

I got the demo today... I am amazed by how everything is 3d-ified. It will take me some time to get used to it though. None of the physics are changed right?

They haven't changed because then the Hall of Fame replays wouln't work. That is the main problem with new BoD features, actually.

Ah I know how that works, I ran into the same problem making the replays for Thruster.
They could change it btw and just make sure the replays specify a version number in future and run off the engine based on the version. I bet that would be work though... heheh
;D

Oh..... That's an issue... Another question:is there an option to have the map in pause? With bike or die 1.6 i always used the map to check something...so i don't want my biker to move while i am using the map... How do you make the map also pause?

The problem is that the Hall of Fame has many players that don't play anymore, but those replays are stored as keypresses, so if you change the physics then you cause those to not work, and you have to restart the hall of fame. Which Sz (the game's creator) doesn't want to do, AFAIK.

How do you make the map also pause? In the Control Options, assign both Show Map and Pause to the same button. That's what I do and it works fine, after confirming the "conflicting" alert.
