I installed LJP via the instructions with all files on an SD card. Now, I probably don't have enough memory to run a SNES game (only 4800K dynamic heap free), so that will probably show up in future questions, but right now I can't even get a ROM to show up in the list. I took a few non-GZIP'ed ROMs like Final Fantasy 4 and Final Fantasy 6, and they just don't show up at all. Does it need a particular file extension? I tried none at all, and I tried ".rom" just as a guess.
Running LJP 0.9; haven't tried 0.9.2T yet.

Okay, it works zipped. At least, until it runs out of memory. I'll try the unlimited dynamic memory hack sometime soon and see how that works. PLEASE, a single well-formatted web page is needed with the current official download, the current "T" download, more detailed installation instructions, and a lot more tips on what options work well, which ones are screwy, etc. The FAQ in the forum is a start, but perhaps the reason we see so many people flailing about with ASM vs C, getting ROMs to show up, memory questions, etc, all points to the need for more prominent and detailed help. I know it's in early development and maintaining such stuff is a pain, but it makes life a lot easier on your users, and as a result, on the forums.

More detailed instructions? Have you read the readme?
BTW (this was asked before), ROM extensions: - NES: .nes - SNES: .smc - Genesis: .smd; .bin - GB/GBC: .gb; .gbc - SMS: .sms - GG: .gg
Or ZIP for all of the above. Other extensions will not be recognized by the launcher.

Yes, I read both of the read me's (from 0.9 and 0.9.2T) and both simply said to put ROM's in the right folder. There was nothing regarding file extensions that I saw.

im pretty sure that most of the emulators created are based off of the same roms.. therefore only a basic knowledge of these roms is required to know what to put onto your palm

Yes, but none of my emulators require file extensions (I use a Mac), so I deleted them long ago. As long as the ROM content is file, who cares what the file extension is? After all, there is a dedicated spot they must be in, so what does it matter what the file is called?
Anyhoo, back to figuring out things with dynamic memory and such...

Just so you don't put some files that aren't ROMs there and try to launch... a little hacky though.
