Alright, I want to put Hexen, Quake, and Duke3D on my Centro.
I'm waiting for the Metaview site to come back up (unless anyone knows another site where I can get the latest versions of the .PRC files, I've looked everywhere).
I've heard I need to get the UDMH or whateva hack to get enough dynamic memory to run the games...I have no idea where to start to get this thing on my Centro.
So...how do I get this thing, and what else, if anything, do I need to do to get these games on my Centro? Thanks guys.

1. An SD card reader 2. UDMH is at (palmpowerups.com), that just needs hotsync. Read the readme for instructions.

Well, I tried putting Quake on my Cento, everything installed fine, but it crashed as soon as I tried to start a new game.
As soon as ZQuake starts, I get a 'warning: low memory' message, and then once I start a new game my Centro soft resets. Any ideas?

How much free memory is displayed inside ZQuake? I guess you need something about 8000 KB. If it is much less, try UDMH and explicit set 8000 KB for ZQuake.

I put 8000kb on UDMH, and once I started ZQuake it instantly reset my Centro, I couldn't even get to the main Quake menu.
On the ZQuake launcher (not in game, the one where you load the PAK files), it says mem:5336/8107.

If you put 8000kB in UDMH for ZQuake, ZQuake should display around 8000 KB (is 7999 her on my my 680). 5 MB is not enough for Quake, I guess it needs at least 6 MB.

Do you think there's any way for me to get it started without UDMH? Because as of right now, with UDMH enabled, I can't even get to the main Quake menu, it just resets as soon as I launch from the zQuake launcher.

Get a free block of 6000KB dynamic RAM, then it should work without UDMH. My Treo680 has a free block of 6 MB. Try a reset with CleanStart(?).

So a warm reset with clean start is the only way to free up that ram? Just so you know, I've done that before and once my Centro booted up, I was unable to access the 'phone' part of my Centro.

warm reset or clean start.. -i guess you have too much stuff on your centro.

Ok, so I've got Clean Start going, disabled a bunch of apps...now my zQuake launcher is showing 7712/8378.
So...I boot it up and I get a crash instantly...Quake seems like it loads up just fine (none of the wierd messages that you have to push buttons to get through like in Duke3D), I get a brief flash of the console and then my Centro resets. When I didn't have enough memory, I could at least get to the main menu of Quake. What does this mean? Do I have a bad version or something?

Bad version: I guess. Not enough memory: I don't think so.
Quake like all the other games use their own memory manager, means they need a large chunk of memory right at the beginning. There isn't much memory which is occupied later on, maybe some kb's for music, but that's all.
