If you don't have the patience to deal with a tard, then feel free to hit the back button now.
Let me first say that this centro is my first smartphone and also I have no experience with emulators.
This is how far I've gotten: I downloaded 1.1 and unzipped the files. I transferred the .prc file into my phone (via hotsync). When I hotsync, I can either put the programs into my phone or my card. I cannot figure out how to specify where the programs are going. I do not know how to do this step: put the .ZEM files in "/Palm/Programs/LJP"
I'm sure I will need some more help, but lets take it one step at a time. Sorry about, what I am sure is a stupid question, but I cannot figure it out on my own; thanks in advance.

Use a card reader!!!!! And for the last time, read and follow the instructions in any one of the 20 or so identical threads as yours that have been posted recently.

I'm tryin guys, I've read numerous threads and I am still confused, sorry for the repetition. I do not have a card reader, this will all be over hotsync. I geuss I'll look around some more and try to figure it out. Thanks though.

Buy a card reader. They're not expensive, and will save you hours of headaches. Seriously. Officially, LJP doesn't support installation without one. Yes, it's technically possible to get it on your phone without one, but it's such an awkward workaround that it's up to you to figure it out. Nobody here is going to hold your hand and walk you through such a tedious and complicated procedure. So if you're unable to figure crazy workarounds like that yourself, do yourself a favor and follow the instructions by buying a card reader.

One less awkward solution is using one of those programs that make the phone work as a card reader (ie mounts a removable drive in the PC via USB).

Yes - a software based solution such as Card Export II that effectively turns your phone into a card reader is an acceptable solution as well. It costs about the same as a card reader though, and card readers will generally be much faster in read/write.

Alright I did something wrong (go figure)... Using my card reader I saw a folder already in my card that was labelled Palm and in there was a sub-folder which was launcher, well instead of using launcher I made a folder called Programs and then another sub folder inside of that called LJP, which is where I put all the .zems
Whatd I do wrong guys? Bear with me, I've searched the forums and I am trying here. Also anytime I open up LJP and press a direction, my phone crashes.

That happens . You didn't do anything wrong . Just inside the LJP folder make folders called NES for nes games, SNES for snes games, and etc. Inside each of those make a folder called Roms. Then put roms in there and it will work.

Well this question has nothing to do with LJP, but I'll give it a shot. I'm also running zlauncher, which I love. But everytime I hit the apps button on my centro (the little house) it takes me to the regular palm launcher then switches over to zlauncher (kinda flickers). Is there any way to just make it go straight to zlauncher?

Heh, just not trying to clutter the board with my dumb questions. Not really that important, I can live with it.

Try 1src.com for general Palm issues...

treocentral.com is also another excellent resource for all things Palm/Treo/Centro.

This probably could be fixed with a simple SharkBtn (ludus-tech.com) fix -- Just enable it and map home to ZLauncher

Booo yalll for not pointin him to mytreo.net :-P. bl1nk - try disabling ZLauncher as the default launcher, delete it (or uninstall it with an app like DestallerLite or Uninstall Manager), and then reinstall it (also making sure you have the latest version) and be sure again that it is set as the default launcher (which you may want to verify with an app like Butler or the abovementioned SharkBtn). You might want to Warm reset before you delete it, although it is not necessary as long as you disable it first. And definitely do check mtdn, as there's a lot of ZLauncher and launcher discussion there (ZZTechs, the developer, even has a board at the forum there)
