I'm running ljp 1.2 on a palm T|X and i have been trying to get original gameboy games to play in color. Like they did on the GBC and GBA.
I have tried the force DMG and force GBA boxes in various combinations but have been unable to get any color.
I tested using Super R.C. Pro Am which i have a real copy of. When i put the game in my GBA SP it does have some color but i was unable to replicate this in LJP.
Can anyone else get old GB games to play in color? If so then what am i doing wrong?
Also noticed that ljp seems to lack the GBC's palette changing feature. Not sure how hard this is to implement but on the GBC when you start a GB game you can change the palette when you see the GAMEBOY logo apear by pressing a button combination. UP: Brown UP+A: Red UP+B: Dark Brown Down: Pale Yellow Down+A: Orange Down+B: Yellow Left: Blue Left+A: Dark Blue Left+B: Grey Right: Green Right+A: Dark Green Right+B: Negative
Since there is no gameboy logo in the emulator these palette options may need to be in a drop down list or similar in the launcher config.
Any chance that this could make it into a coming version?

but i thought i saw in a post somewhere on the forum that the purpose of the "Force GBA" check box was to make normal GB games display with some color as if they are being played in a GBA.
Or is this option just so that the game thinks its in a GBA?

It's somewhat easy to implement features like coloring with a lot of colors the GB games by setting different palettes for each of the different tile/sprite layers and some other emlator does that already and IIRC helps you doing it in realtime and then saves the config. I'll try to get that feature/file reading in LJX
