LJP whole Treo *locks* up sometimes

Is there anyway to troubleshoot this, it is highly annoying. I know save often save often but i sometimes forget and it urks me when i get like 2 hours into a game and then it freezes up with no autosave or anything happening and i have to start the progress over. Especially since im playing ogre battle so when i draw tarot cards and all my battles come out differently next time.

Its totally random it seems during fights or on the map screen it just is going along then boom everything stops. I have to pull the battery out to get it to restart the treo...which sucks also.

Using LJP 1.2 wiimote edition, not using the wiimote though, just playing normal.

Is there a way to autosave like every 5 minutes

sorry to barge in, been looking for the last 30 minutes or so, but where do i find the 1.2 wiimote version? or is only a beta version? I have a palm 650 and would love to try it out.
