Oooopss.....Europe, NTSC or PAL?

Ok, so I donloaded some european roms, the (E) ones. I think they are PAL. I'm not sure which ones are european, because I rename ROMS (I would rathe have Pokemon Yellow than Pokemon Yellow (E) (!)....blah)

So, I know the emulator can run NTSC and PAL, but does it automatically switch, or am I screwed because I don't know which is which?

Thanks, I already knew the 50/6o FPS thing, I just wanted to be sure it switched
