Hello and first of all - thanks for this great app! It is fun to play all these old games on my Palm!
I have a Tungsten T3 and a Logitech Typeaway Keyboard (connects to the Palm Universal Connector). I cannot get LJP to recognize the keypresses from the keyboard. I have searched through the forums but haven't found anything related. I did try disabling the keyboard driver, but it still doesn't work. Is there any way to have this keyboard supported or do I need to try an IR keyboard? Thanks for the help!

In order to support this keyboard, you'll have to get Metaview to create a driver for it in LJP. This could be a bit tricky for a keyboard that uses the universal connector, but not impossible -- IR keyboards are easier as he's already written the IR driver and just needs different keytables depending on the keycoodes passed.

Thanks for the info - I'm watching a few IR keyboards on Ebay, so will probably go that route. I am hoping to build a custom game controller out of an old Gameboy, SNES controller and keyboard! I will let you know of my progress!

It might be cheaper and simpler to get a wiimote; if you go the route you're going now, you'll have to create a harness for your Palm that has the keyboard's IR lamp strapped to the receptor on the Palm, and the gamepad fixed to the bottom. I think it might be easier to make a gamepad by adding a cradle to the combination; then you have a solid surface to work with.
You might want to try landscape mode, as then the IrDA connection is closer and you have more of the Palm to butt against the controller -- you could even build it with a hinge bracket on the front edge that the Palm slides onto for support.

"It might be cheaper and simpler to get a wiimote;" Sure, but that's not as much fun as building your own!! Actually, I was planning to use the Gameboy shell (highly modified of course) as the holder for the palm and attaching the SNES controller to it. The keyboard's IR lamp would be fixed onto the back of the Gameboy. The other advantage of using a Gameboy is that I can harness the 4AA batteries as a battery extender for the Palm! Here is a very rough image of what it would all look like together
