I've searched the forums but couldn't come up with any solution. Current device is Centro. Running UDMH and 520MHz with Lightspeed. Games like FF3, Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger run great. I've tried ASM and C with no results. Has anyone got these titles running on a Centro with LJP 1.1 or 1.2?

Just blank screens. Sometimes it will flash red but usually it's just a black screen.

They are all SNES games; Secret of Mana was Seiken Densetsu 2 in Japan (SD3 has been fan translated). Secret of Evermore, Illusion of Gaia and Tales of Phantasia were all related games by the same publisher IIRC -- Phantasia was also fan translated, and later translated by the game maker for Playstation.
What did these games have in common? All of them (except Evermore, I think -- I thought I had that one running in LJP) used a special compressed format on the ROM carts because they were huge -- I believe Star Ocean 2 also falls in this category; I can't remember whether the fan trans of SO2 runs on LJP or not.
My TX is currently on the fritz (a corrupt NVRAM caused a corrupt backup which corrupted my SD card, and then I backed it all up to my computer before noticing....), so I might not be able to test right away, but I doubt ToP will work any time soon. Too many custom things done with that ROM. I do recommend playing that game though, as well as ToP2 (which came out for PSX or PS2 I believe) as they are amazing games for the time they came out; ToP really pushed SNES hardware to its limits... it contained a fully digitized sound track with speech for all the characters, a sound track, cutscenes, etc. The game could almost have been on a PSX except that it lacked any 3Dness.
The blank screens are probably due to LJP not being able to do the in-memory decompression required in those games by SNES9x (the core module used for LJP SNES). I seem to recall having that problem with certain versions of Windows and Mac SNES9x too on those games.

Star Ocean 1 (fan translation) works great on my Centro actually. And it's huge (like 8MB). I can't get Earthbound working either. Weirdness.

Check the SNES Compatibility page on the wiki. Seiken Densetsu 3, Secret of Evermore, Earthbound, and Illusion of Gaia all work just fine. If you're having problems, it's likely you've got a bad ROM. And remember, just because some emulator on a PC can play it doesn't mean the it's a good dump - many PC emulators have error-fixing code built in.

I only have SD3 and Illusion of Gaia currently on my Treo, but I just ran them just fine. I'm using LJP 1.1 with UDMH and Lightspeed.

I just realized I had never upgraded to 1.2 for some reason. I just did so, tested again, and can confirm that SD3 and Gaia do work in LJP 1.2.
