I just upgraded to a 700p from a treo 650. I've done this before but don't recall having any problems. All i did was swap my SD card to the new phone. When i go into LJP every game in every system says .zem file has wrong version number. Please check your install. Do i need to reinstall LJP from scratch on the 700p. Wasnt it contained solely on my SD card to begin with?

I've had similar issues before, and it usually just has to do with your ljp.ini file. Delete any and all .ini files in your LJP directory, launch LJP, set up your preferences again, and you should be good to go.

Wasnt it contained solely on my SD card to begin with? Nope LJP was installed on your Palm device and not the SD card, so you would have to reinstall it on a device that doesn't have it. The .zem files and roms are all contained on the sd, however you have to have your sd inside your device before installing LJP on to your palm so it can register everything to work correctly including the zem files.. To be on the safe side I would back up my Sd card, then do the install, encase something goes wrong, in my case I have more than on card so I would just use my test card then once it's setup, switch cards back to the one with my files on it, I use the card from my Zire 31 on My Treo 650 and LJP doesn't have any problems when I switch cards, everything works fine and my save states are on what ever card I use.. |
