Here's a test version for low-res/Zire 31 users. Get it at the usual place... it's the one labeled "1.0 RC1 Test version for low-res users". Please note that only the SMS/GG module is included. tinnus.gp32z.com/ljp_1.0rc1_test_lowres_2.zipPlease test the following: - General low-res behavior (should work like jbp's version) - Preferably the SMS module (which has a downscaler), but please test GG too if possible - In case of wrong behavior, and/or if possible, post a picture (you can take it with a normal camera) of it running SMS with the beltbar and framerate options 'on' (see 'other' panel). - Zire 31 users: please test keys configuration and pressing in-game (should work like jbp's version) BTW if someone with a Hi-Res device (320x) tests this, it should work as normal too.

Don't know if it's useful for you, but I tested it on my Zodiac2 and both SMS and GG both work real good with sound, but for some reason this version doesn't work on the 2nd card slot. Btw, I've never heard of a US law that says you have to divulge your birthday to log onto a web site message board, but there is a law against discriminating against age (why harrass an old fart like me?

ohhh, sweet! I didn't think you were going to do anything for the Zire 31. I love surprises. Well, I installed it on my Zire 31. Since I don't have UDMH, and the trial expired some time ago I was only able to do some minor testing. Anyhow, I /was/ able to assign keys/screen touches in the config menu so that appears to be working at least at the menu level. I wasn't going to buy UDMH before as it didn't seem like you were going to worry to much about the poor little Zire 31 - and I didn't really have any other uses for it - but since that appears to be changing, I may just recind that decision. (especially if other people report success) edit: hmm, after reading a couple more posts I realized that my input probably wasn't all that helpful Oh well, I think I will go for it, and get UDMH (looks like I will be waiting a while for it to be registered though...)

Tinnus -- not bad, only a couple of things out of place. On the roms list, the shadow text under the list item text isn't properly scaled, so appears x2 away from where it should. In game, the clock flashes in the middle of the screen instead of in the beltbar. Nothing in fps or batt boxes either, and there's a broken black line at the bottom of the screen. I also replaced the low-res icon for LJP in my version -- grab "icon-lg-8.bmp" from my zip. (Sorry, didn't tell ya about that.) The slider control in the in-game menus (it's called "menubar" in the code) is not scaled. Sys Infos is badly scaled, and some buttons overlap, but that's my fault. I'll fix 'em when we've got source control. That's all that leaps out at me. Nice work. mindfood -- you'll need LifeDrive from palmpowerups.com too, if you intend to play action games on the Zire 31. See other threads for details.

jbp: Thanks I'll fix those. maurizio86: The other modules will come together with version 1.0 RC1, that 'release' I did was mainly to test the low-res and Zire 31 stuff. Ernie: Thanks, that's exactly the stuff I forgot to ask for testing; now i know it does NOT work with the 2nd slot ;D About the birthday stuff, it's something to do with the new version of the forum software. It looks like you must be 13 years or above, meh, kinda useless, just put a bogus birthdate Well, back to CodeWarrior...

A new version is up, please test again and tell me if everything is fixed.
About the Zodiac second slot, I couldn't find why it wouldn't work, so could someone with a Zodiac or T5 confirm that this version indeed does not work with the second volume.

SMS w/ sound works great. Several games still don't run however.
After Burner Alien Syndrome Altered Beast Hang-On Outrun
all do nothing after launch, just a blank screen.
GP Rider has tons of Graphical corruption.

OK, not wanting to be rude, but this version is intended ONLY for low-res/Zire 31 testing. Please do not talk about anything else and don't bother to get this if you own a Hi-Res device.
If you own a low-res/Zire 31 device... well, please test everything (specially the in-game GUI and the beltbar) and tell me the results.

About the Zodiac second slot, I couldn't find why it wouldn't work, so could someone with a Zodiac or T5 confirm that this version indeed does not work with the second volume. Okay Tinnus, I tried the new one and got it working in both slots (by simply switching sd cards) I might add that it didn't work at first, but after reseting the zodiac it worked fine--the beltbar froze the first time I hit the button to escape the emulator, but after resetting the device I tapped the center of the screen and escaped to the launcher and then back to the rom (Phatasy Star) and then tried the belt bar and it seemed to work fine after that (I tried it several times to make sure). You probably know about this already, but each rom displays two entries in the display, not just sms but all of them (GG, snes, etc) and roms in zips don't seem to work, so I extracted them to get them working. Hope this helps--keep up the good work.

Two entries? No ZIP? Now that's odd. Works all right for me here. Must have something to do with having dual slots. Hm...
Someone else with a Zodiac or T5 please verify if that happens there too.

I missed that it wasn't a new zip as well, getting old I guess, but I tried the new one (ljp_1.0rc1_test_lowres_2.zip) and found that the double entrys is indeed related to two cards, I took one out and it displayed and loaded fine in either slot, think it may have been some sort of instability the first time I cranked it up--zip files are working again as well.

Bravo!! I try UDMH 3.0 for running LJP and set dynamic heap to 12288kB (12MB = 12x1024kB = 12288kB) . For now no random crash when in & out SNES game anymore. testing LJP 1.0 RC1 for lowres device with my hires treo650. - still hard to press button in OSD page, I must press button 2-3 time to get work. - Maybe something wrong with SNES video setting. when I check for Transparency then play game and back to this page I see Transparency is uncheck but it still work!! ( test with game that use Transparency). I think it just uncheck the checkbox but still use those setting value. This bug not appear when you not go out to play game. Just go to another modules and come back it's may not happen. A little bug but A lot gift In this RC1 I get .. - more stable. maybe form program improvement, maybe form setting more dynamic heap in UDMH3. - OSD no buggy screen. - beltbar I think.. it's show before open game but I don't know how to use them. Compare with 0.92T this RC1 is good enough to launch now. *** SNES modules I use from 0.92T version

i tried with my treo 600 and the launcher is more low res friendly
i tried 0.92T gameboy module and i can't access the OSD by tapping the screen, and if i keep tapping, my treo resets itself.
EDIT: I tried jbp's modified version for zire31 and it works perfectly!

T3 is Hi-res+ (480x320). Low-res is 160x160. i tried with my treo 600 and the launcher is more low res friendly i tried 0.92T gameboy module and i can't access the OSD by tapping the screen, and if i keep tapping, my treo resets itself. EDIT: I tried jbp's modified version for zire31 and it works perfectly! Of course, the gameboy module in 0.9.2T is not low-res enhanced, while jbp's one is. Please test the SMS/GG module provided in this release and tell me the results.

COPPA (Child Online Privacy Protection Act) I think that's the name. Either way, the "are you over 13 years of age" thing IS actually required by law in the United States now. Will try the lowres version once I get back home tonight.

Sorry, been a little busy. Don't have my Palm in front of me, but from memory:
Looks like you've just removed the shadow text, which is fine by me.
Clock is now flashing in the middle-right of screen. Horizontally it is in the correct place, vertically you need to double its position.
Still nothing for fps/batt, but the broken black line is gone.
Still getting the blue-circle-and-pen here.
From memory, I think this is still not fixed.
Also: beltbar taps are not getting scaled. So (for instance) when I think I'm tapping Reset, I'm actually tapping Save.

Clock is now flashing in the middle-right of screen. Horizontally it is in the correct place, vertically you need to double its position. I'll fix that. Well, something good then ;D I'll try to change the position calculations for low-res. That's not supposed to be in that version IIRC, I think I added that just after. I couldn't find why it's not fixed, and I did copy the whole function from your version. I'll take yet another look. I'll fix that too. I think it's because the code is still #defining _PEN_ADJUST_ (or whatever) based on a _LOWRES_ constant, I'll change it to SCR_ADJ (forgot to do that). Thanks a lot for helping me out on this one.

New version at usual place. Everything except slider should be fixed now. jbp: I couldn't fix it. Please take a look in your versions and make sure it's working there. tinnus.gp32z.com

Well, sliders are scaled in my versions (although they are still a bit buggy there). Most of the beltbar stuff isn't fixed in this version. Want to send me the code? I've got a few hours this morning I can look at it. I dig the low-res ljp icon.
