Hmmmm... Juz curious how stable is your LPJ is running for every one?
I have tested time and again, i can only exit twice even with UDMH clean up.
Please also add your running parameters and times before you crashed (ie tap screen to exit or quick save) -------------------------------------------------------------- Tungsten T5 1GB Twinmos 60x SD card UDMH PXaclocker
Running Parameters On clean sofr reset LPJ 0.8 UDMH restricting to 40Mb memory heap to LPJ PXAClocker Overclocked to 520MHz

Never crashed on my T|E. Oh, and it's 'LJP', not 'LPJ'

hmmmmmm
So you mean what is making T5 running LJP unstable?? Any plausible reasons??

Never crashed on my T3 either. Slow compared to Zelda or Mario for SNES, but I think FF3 is just like that... Maybe it's the NVFS?

I noticed this too. I have FF3 also, but I noticed my setting for a smooth framerate (normally I set frameskip to 2, zoom x1, overclocking to 230) that works for just about fine for most games (I can get about 50 fps sometimes) but for this game speed suffers a bit, I notice fps drops to around 30. I tried SKZX frameskip, it's incredibly smooth, but a bit too slow for me, it just feels like churning through syrup, lol... Maybe the best solution is a faster device, lol...

hmmmmmm So you mean what is making T5 running LJP unstable?? Any plausible reasons?? I said snes GUI was unstable on T5 since 0.7, but as coders dont have T5 they cant really test it. Actually that made ljp unplayble for me because i use it in subway and i have to do lots savestates when i change station and such...

I agree with Angel that the crashing part is something really bothersome. I will crash (require soft reset/hard reset) every 2 times i touch the screen. This makes me play only when i have long duration of free time.....

Juz tested that the savedata is not dumped to the savefile if my LJP crashed out..... i need to quit completely to ensure my data is saved.... really a hassle

A save state is saved as soon as emulation resumes after the "Saving" message. SRAM is only saved at exit.

This brings up a point I had. SRAMs in some cases seem to go kaput on me. In a game like Chrono Trigger, sometimes upon loading the game it acts as if I've never played. I can work around this by immedially soft resetting my device, and it won't re-save the sram, which would be the case if I exited normally. I'm not sure why this happens, but in this game in particular, it has happened more than once, and I accidentally leave the game and all my work is lost.
Anyways, in some emulators, like ZSNES (one of my favorites for PC) SRAM is saved immediately when it occurs in the game. Any chance this could be a possibility to be added as an option for LJP?

on PC, SRAM is usually autosaved quite often. Perhaps such a feature could be integrated in ljp. Right now I'm back to ljp coding and by porting it (snes module) on PSP, I was able to detect & fix a few nasty bugs. It should increase stability & a nice optimization in FF6 (FF3 in USA) should make it more playable.

Alright thanks, I'm still having occasional loss of data in Chrono Trigger. Maybe I need to re-download and get the more appropriate rom. Like I said, I guess there's pros and cons to different ways of saving SRAM. I hope CT doesn't fail on me anymore, its kind of a pain keeping starting over. I was actually at level 99 with Crono when it happened the first time!

On mine, it just suddenly stops after a battle or when I enter a new area. Same with Chrono Trigger.
