Hi all So I am having a very strange problem with the T5 and LJP 0.9.2T. I am also using UDMH. I am used to having to reset my device after playing an SNES game once or twice, but I am noticing now that I go into a reset loop of sorts after i have soft reset my device. I enter LJP and it shows me the browser with the list of ROMs I have. However, there are some titles in there that arent actually ROMs, and instead of the actual color of the titles being blue, they are green. Some of these are full words likw "MEGA" and sometimes it will be a letter like "X". And sometimes it is a random character like "&". I looked through the forum for someone else having this problem, but I havent been able to see it anywhere else.
Regards Mike Jones

I believe it's some bug with the categorization feature. Try with UDMH disabled.
I'm still trying to catch that one but meybe it's UDMH interfering.

Well welcome to T5 quirkiness club.
I think it has to do with the smaller dynamic ram heap of the T5 and you have to run UDMH to be able to launch SNES roms. I do that pretty often. But i have updated my T5 to 1.1 update and i think i can squeeze out 1 more screen tap before i have to soft reset my T5 ( BTW i am using crash pro so anything it freezes will auto soft reset.... )
I think Yoyofr and Tinnus was discussing about reducing Dynamic memory usage to allow pple to play without UDMH some time back.
Well i am fine with the resets so far... but can be really irritating when you try to savestate and it crash on you..... (especially in games like FF3.... after lvling like 2-3lvls without saving....

Not only T5 have a small heap size which will make you addicted to UDMH, but it use NVFS system, which mean UDMH cant clean the heap totally after running for example a snes rom.
so he T5 user must :
1) use UDMH for larger or even medium roms 2) be ready to soft reset his handlet each 1 or 2 game play.
Anyway the T5 is a good palm if you dont feel bothered by the soft resets

I think Yoyofr and Tinnus was discussing about reducing Dynamic memory usage to allow pple to play without UDMH some time back. I have an idea that could reduce Dynamic memory usage dramatically I'll try it for RC2.

I would suggest a program called Crash if you don't already have it. It will intercept a reset message and reset it for you so you don't have to push the reset button. I was wondering if those who use LJP on a T5 could tell me the usual settings for the SNES module. I have it at frameskip of 5, but it is too choppy. Further, I can't seem to jump and push a direction key at the same time. Is this a limitation of the Palm rather than the program? Thanks.

I have a T5, and these are the settings of my SNES module: -Video: full screen 4:3, frame skip: 2, render: exact, transparencey and fast sprites: on. -Audio: ON at 11khz -Other: ASM core ON.
Since I use tinnus version I have better performance and less problems. I don't remember to reset the t5 after playing. I use UDMH at 4 or 5 MB for LJP, and also i have updated my t5 to 1.1.
One question: Since I updated to 1.1 I have problems with the Palm file browser. If I run one time, I close and I try to run again, I get an expception and a reset. The message is: I can access to the application db.
Ciao.
EDIT: Actually I have disabled UDMH with LJP and it runs ok, but i have not tested if after some runs the pda crashes.
