first off, if this is in the wrong section, i am sorry for any inconvenience caused, but what would be the easiest system to emulate?
by this, I mean least amount of code written and easiest to understand, as I am trying to get myself into Emulator development.
any help is appreciated.

I think (not sure) at the current time the easiest one inside LJP is SMS/GG. SNES and NES are fairly complicated (SNES has a ton of stuff to emulate and NES has all that stuff about mappers).
The SMS emulator in LJP is also very well clean (code wise) and fairly easy to understand.
But there are a lot of very old and simple machines, which should take a small time to create an emulator. Google for emulator development tutorials too--I've seen one or two already.

ive tried looking for oldschool gameboy emulators, its a pain in my buttocks... the only ones ive found that dont support GBC either use ASM or are not oppen source. ill try SMS/GG and see if i can get some knowledge out of that. thanks for the insight
