Agree with Angel. LJP 1.0 RC has better stablility over previous version of LJP as i have not been crashing after 4-5 savestates.... ;D
But i still think the hacks are not for SNES gamers (FF3 overworld mini map will disappear)
I am torturing my T5 by overclocking.... i can't stand any Framerate under 45....

My experiences with 1.0 RC1n using a T|C & T|E (both using lightspeed and the T|E with udmh):
Launcher:
T|C : works ok T|E : Random 'fatal errors' (I like the music;))
NES:
T|C : All roms won't load "MemoryMgr.c, Line:3635, NULL handle' T|E : All roms won't load "MemoryMgr.c, Line:3635, NULL handle' Update: also one click on the dropdown fixed these errors!, so the catagory thing is probably not working right!
SNES:
T|C: 'Could not load rom' or 'fatal exception' on every rom. (with both cores, with or without sound) update: I think I know how to get rid of the Could not load rom error. I just clicked the 'unarchived' pulldown menu and clicked on unarchived. Than the roms did load! update2: and it also worked with GB!! T|E: Very fast! (using asm core, no sound) but random crashes. update: T|E gives me random ingame crashes too, a lot with sound on, but also without sound.
GB:
T|C: 'Error at opening' on every rom and when I try to go back to the launcher using the beltbar it crashes with the same errormsg as with NES roms. T|E: 'Error at opening' or sometimes 'fatal error' msgs, but using the beltbar I can get back into the launcher update: When I load a quicksave I do see a frozen frame from the game (mario1), but after waiting 2mins the palm crashes update2: When I clicked on the unarchived pulldown, and on unarchived, a could load the roms, give it a try!
GENS:
T|C: 'Error while opening file' and after that 'Error loading file '1:/PAL...' and it returns to the launcher update: I give it a couple more tries and now the roms (i've tried a lot more roms) do load (asm, no sound) and I haven't had any ingame crashes jet! yeah T|E: using ASM and C core games run, but random ingame crashes. No error msg (I've only tried sonic 1 and Another World, both run with crashes in the game) Update: No ingame crashes anymore, because of the dropdownmenu
I dont have any roms for the other emulated systems on my sd. So for now I'll play all my favourite snes games on my T|E and will use firestorm (bleg) for the gb(c) games since i made a big mistake giving CF some money some time ago. Thanks for all the work!
update: I can play all the games with LJP again, yeah! It was all about the dropdownmenu on both T|E & T|C
ps. Nice moving 3d ljp logo at the helpscreen!

I have a palm Tungsten T3, and these are my testing results (they are the same with&without UDMH activated): Launcher: Quite stable, although it randomly shows weird characters in the NES rom list and crashes after that. It also shows info 0000 and info 0505 messages if I open or close the slider while running LJP, quite funny . By the way, it's far more stable than previous versions (although I don't like the default button assignments, because it has qload and qsave assigned to screen buttons, and I lost one of my savegames trying to show the OSD ) NES: Very fast and stable with sound, all scalers & filters work. SNES: A bit faster, more stable, improved sound. I don't know what are the hacks for, if I activate them, some gfx corruption occurs. I noticed a little annoying bug (but I think it's hardware related): if I press the direction pad and two buttons (i.e. left + two buttons), the emu behaves incorrectly (the character moves right instead of left).Tested ASM core. GB: Very fast and stable with sound, all scalers & filters work. GENS: Very fast and stable without sound. If ZX80 is activated for sound, it's still very slow for some games (like sonic3). Tested ASM core. NGP: A bit slow, but works with sound. There are some minor gfx glitches, and a weird bug: the emu is way more faster if I keep pressing a button (very noticeable in sonic pocket). Tested all three cores, they behave the same. Also sound is set at 22khz, at 44khz it sounds weird. WS: Wonderswan (no color) games show a lot of gfx glitches, but is still playable, and no sound at all. Speed is quite acceptable btw. Wonderswan color games are unplayable, gfx are a mess, and no sound (naruto showed some intro screens, but in-game gfx are a mess) SMS & GG: Very fast and stable with sound, all scalers & filters work. Speed seems to be improved VCS: It works quite good, but very fast! I should notice that I've suffered all the 'memorymgr.c', 'could not load rom', etc... errors. To solve that is as simple as uninstalling the previous version and perform a fresh install of the new one. No more problems Also I noticed that now the emu screen is centered when the slider is closed, it's incredible If you could borrow some code from TCPMP to remove the white border from screen (yes, it is possible, at least on my T3), it would be perfect! TCPMP source is available at corecodec.org/frs/?group_id=53&release_id=122#r122Yoyo & Tinnus, this is an AWESOME program. Nice work!! ;D

About the crash problem of LJP 1.0RC1 on LifeDrive.
I find "CJKOS" and "RLock" that cause the LJP crash. However, the "CJKOS" is necessary for asis palm user.

<Zodiac> LJP doesn't load after Softreset
Description
After doing a soft reset LJP is unable to read its preference file without crashing.
Condition
I have to start LJP at least once (either after installing or deleting the old pref file), so that it can create a new preference file. It doesn't matter if the soft reset is triggered in LJP (by a crash), in another app or if I reset the device by myself. The error also occurs if I don't change any setting in the program.
Result
LJP crashes with following error message:
Fatal Exeption: 10 6000003F 20061DE3 20061940 182080E5
Its annoying to reenter the settings every time after a soft reset. There are lots of "experimental" apps for Zodiac which require to reset the device once a while.
<Zodiac> LJP flickering FPS display and battery icon in Widescreen
The battery icon and the FPS display flickers in Widescreen mode (Zodiac smoothing and upscaling). If the FPS display and battery icon are situated on a "unused" black screen space in a non widescreen resolution then this effect doesn't occur. The beltbar isn't shown in Zodiac enhanced widescreen, I don't know if this is intended.
<Zodiac> Random hangup in Launcher
Sometimes, if I change the category in the launcher (lets say choosing another system, or preference screen) the launcher hangs. It seems to me that it is trying to load some UI elements, but isn't able to do so. Most times the last screen which is shown is missing the area where the roms are listened. There is no way to quit LJP at this stage, so I have to do a reset. Happened only 3 times. One time it happend directly after a fresh install of LJP.
<Zodiac> Random hangup while running a NGP game and changing frameskip
Changing the frameskip setting while running a NGP game (Sonic Pocket Adventure - in my case) seems to crash LJP. Doesn't happen every time.
------------------------------
The 8bit emulation is great and nearly perfect - thanks for adding sms and gg support. The system's library contains most of my favourite titles.
I was a bit disappointed that it isn't possible to play most Genesis games with full sound emulation + frameskip at a acceptable speed. Don't misunderstand me, I am not blaming the author(s) of LJP - I wouldn't dare. They are doing a great job. Without Tinnus and Yoyo we would be stuck with Tapwaves version of Doom 2.
Maybe my Zodiac is just to underpowered and I'll never be able to play Sonic&K+Sonic3 with sound on this system. But there are lots of other titles to keep me occupied. Beeing able to run Phantasy Star 4 at decent speed + sound is another (great) plus.

For those folks having black screens and various crashes and errors, make sure you properly uninstall the old ljp before installing the new one--that solved it for me completely and now every module works fine at (seems like) full speed using the zodiac scalline and wide screen.
It still seems to display the rom filenames twice, guess due to having two sd cards on my zodiac. I'm finally going to delete LJZ from my machine, this one is much better.

Ernie, could you try a soft reset and run LJP again? (And report back if it crashed) On my Zodiac LJP crashes while reading its preference file after a soft reset. I just want to make sure it isn't my fault.

I was able to get everything to work by pressing the unarchived box thanks everyone. ;D The only problem I am having is with SMS there is no belt bar on my T/5 and the blue screen thing goes down like it did in the other versions but now it only goes down for SMS.

Hello everyone,
RC2 has fixed all my problems! Woo hoo! :-)
Here's my setup: - LifeDrive - LJP RC2 - UDMH: set to automatic - Background music: Off - Show Beltbar: On - Show Framerate: On - Show Launch FX: On
NES: - Smoothing: Off, Display size: Fullx1.25(hi+), Frame Skip: Auto, Audio Freq: 22KHz - Runs fine (ran Contra, Megaman 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3)
SNES: - Smoothing: off, Display size: Fullx1.25(hi+), Frame Skip: Auto, Renderer: Exact, Audio Freq: 22KHz, CPU Core: ASM - Runs fine (ran Chrono Trigger, Lufia II, ActRaiser)
GB: - Smoothing: HQ2X, Display size: Fullx2(hi+), Frame Skip: Auto, Audio Freq: 22KHz - Run fine after clicking the "Unarchived" pop-up menu (ran Lufia the Legend, Yu-Gi-Oh, Street Fighter Alpha)
GEN: - Smoothing: off, Display size: Fullx1.25(hi+), Frame Skip: Auto, Audio Freq: 22KHz, CPU Core: ASM - Runs fine (ran John Madden, Arcus Odyssey, Toejam & Earl)
SMS: - Smoothing: off, Display size: Fullx1.25(hi+), Frame Skip: Auto, Audio Freq: 22KHz - Runs fine (ran Phantasy Star, Ultima IV, Alex Kidd in Miracle World)
GG: - Smoothing: off, Display size: Fullx2(hi+), Frame Skip: Auto, Audio Freq: 22KHz - Runs fine (ran Shining Force, Dragon Crystal)
I don't have roms for NGP, WS or VCS so I was not able to test those.
The belt bar doesn't display. Maybe Yoyo disabled it along with the background music? :-)
LJP RC2 sometimes does a soft reset on exit.
Wow, this is awesome! Yoyo and Tinnus, thank you so much for your hard work! RC2 runs incredibly well!

I soft reseted it several times due to crashes on the Shining Force roms, seem to recall the emulator core they are using had a lot of problems with those and Buck Rodgers. Everything else worked OK though, evan Might and Magic 2, the battery backup works fine, Phantasy Star, etc.
