I know there are a lot of great games out there, but I'm going to most likely play RPG's, or simple classic games like Arkanoid on my Treo 650. Partly because of preformance issues, and partly because of the controller set up... and I love RPG's anyway =P.
What RPG's (and Strategy games) are out there?
The list so far, with kromboy's, pdamonkey's, reaper's, srraziel's, and bigglesworth's suggestions:
--SNES Bahamut Lagoon Breath of Fire I and II Chrono Trigger Der Langrisser Earthbound Final Fantasy IV, V, and VI Front Mission Illusion of Gaia Lufia 1 and 2 Mario RPG Ogre Battle Romancing Sa-Ga 1, 2, and 3 *Rudra no Hihou (Treasure of the Rudras) Secret of Evermore Secret of Mana Tactics Ogre Tales of Phantasia Terranigma Treasure Hunter G Zelda: A Link to the Past
--NES Dragon Warrior IV (I&II and III are better on Gameboy Color) Final Fantasy I, II, and III Zelda I and II
--Gameboy Dragon Warrior I&II and III Dragon Warrior Monsters Drgaon Warrior Monsters 2: Cobi's Journey and Tara's Adventure Pokemon Blue, Red, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal Zelda: Link's Awakening (Probably would want the DX version), Oracle of Ages, and Oracle of Season's
--Genesis Beyond Oasis Phantasy Star II, III, and IV Shining Force I and II
--SMS Phantasy Star I
--Game Gear Defender of Oasis Phantasy Star Gaiden
--Turbo Grafix 16 *Neutopia 1 and 2 *Military Madness
What else is out there?

well there are the Dragon Quest series. and.. Seiken Densetsu is good
Romancing Saga
all good RPG's
and if you want strategy games..
Ogre Tactics, Tactics Ogre (actually different games) Der Langrisser Bahamut Lagoon..
I personally prefer strategy games for LJP.. it's just easier to control and the gameplay doesn't suffer at all from lack of controls and the small screen that makes most action games suffer in gameplay.

Secret of Evermore Illusion of Gaia Terranigma Lufia Front Mission Tales of Phantasia (surprisingly runs well for a such huge rom) Treasure Hunter G

much better than that lame ass Pokemon..
and it's Dragon Warrior in US and Quest in Japan.

Phantasy Star I is on the SMS not GENESIS. The Game Gear has a couptle, Phantasy Star Gaiden and Defender of Oasis. The latter one is quite good.
Don't for get the Zelda games. There's Zelda: A Link to the Past on the SNES, Zelda I and II on the NES and Zelda: Link's Awakening on the GB/GBC.

For the turbografx system I recommend Neutopia 1 and 2 (rpgs) and Military Madness (strategy). Once we get a working tg16 module these games are good ones to try.

dragon quest III remake on the GBC. initially its a bit simple, but spend an hour or two getting into it and you'll be HOOOKED...

also Shining Force II crashes (at least for me) unless you have the CPU core set to C

I highly recommend buying imports of Dragon Quest V and VI, they only came out on the Super Famicom. Important them, rip the roms, and then apply translation patches (http://dejap.com/projects.php) if you don't speak Japanese.
V and VI are great. They're doing a remake of V, but you never know if it'll come to the US. If VIII does well for the PS2 , maybe they'll bring over the V remake. No news on VI though.

Ys 4 the Dawn of Ys has been translated for SNES and it's fun too, if you like oldschool action-RPGs. Ys III is also an action RPG on SNES and Genesis; SNES version is better.

Personally I thought Warriors of the Eternal sun for sega was a pretty good action/Rpg/Dungeon crawler based on D&D
