CJKOS takes a lot of memory, we already had a long thread on this and we stated CJKOS take too many memory

Well I just got my T|X to replace my Zodiac and it seems to be working pretty well for SNES emulation. I'm getting about 60FPS on auto with full smoothing and full screen. I of course needed to use UDMH. Mostly just missing the nice layout of the Zodiacs buttons oh well... WiFi :-D

latest bug that i have found
when you on the wifi but NOT connected to a network, everytime i launch ljp i get a crash... even if i on udmh or not... would like other owners to confirm also...
for cjkos problem on the tx do this, disable cjkos->reset->on udmh->play ljp
i have a few random crashes in the tx while playing ff3 at 9 frameskip... when i turn to auto, everything works well...

Hi, I'm new to all this PDA stuff, so I was wondering if I could get some help here, was thinking of getting Palm TX too, for my emulator needs, but I've read some stories about the PPCs and their sound problems with SNES. Does this Palm and the emulator run well with sound? If not, can I turn on MP3 while playing? Will it lag? Also, will there be PSX/GBA support in the near future since PPC can run those too. Thanks.

I just got done running Little John on my T|X and it works well. Sometimes it appears to hand when exiting an emulator but if I leave it alone long enough it will eventually exit back to the browser.

Yes, SNES sound is near perfect. IIRC you can play MP3s in BG (or you could in some old version at least). But it will make emulation a little slower. There is a PSX emulator for Palm OS 5 being developed (it will be released soon but it's beng hold due to some serious memory problems). (it will be a little slow of course compared to the real thing, as well as the PPC one is, actually slower than the PPC one since that one has a dynarec) About GBA... Hm... Er...

Will you be able to add support for PSX and GBA to LJP once they are complete?

Hm... I guess you can read? There's a PSX emulator in the works, by me and another folk, I'm not sure if it will become PART of LJP, although it does use some bits of code from it. And see, I can't say anything about GBA, so don't ask me.

Thanks for the response. Now I'm considering this vs PSP since they both can do what I want, emulate SNES, videos, mp3s and wifi for internet. Considering I hate PSP's load time and games it's just gonna be used for those purposes only and it's cheaper, should I go with the PSP instead? I'll chop off my hand before I reach out for a UMD product, be it games or movies. Hehe. I'm not sure how the button configuration on a Palm would work for the emulators since there's an apparent lack of physical buttons.

Also the buttons on PSP looks more durable than Palm's buttons... I have a T5... and the buttons are little lousy after many hours of been playing Duke3D...

For the topic Its seems to work fine Although there is some random crashes. Is UDMH optimized for TlX yet? I don't think it is. Oh yeah more crashes occur with warpspeed and udmh both being used where did dmitrygr go to?

Strange problem, when I try to run an SNES game, it tells me I have the wrong version of the zem file. Whats strange is that I have never had LJP on my device until a minute ago, and I manually overwrote the file on it, and it still gives me the same error. It says, 18F0/0100. Hope that helps with troubleshooting.

I think something screwed the ZIP files for some people. Weird.
Try using the PSI Instlaler instead of the ZIP, I think the ZIP somehow got corrupted.
tvayer: Make sure the ZEMs are at the correct place, UDMH is enabled, and you've got good ROMs.

After installing the new UDMH, moving my files around again, I seem to only get an "out of memory" error. My TX cant quite handle it as well as my TH, but the ones it can handle, it is alot quicker with

I realize those happened even more frequently when my UDMH trial expired and I believe it is because not many ram is free. UDMH fixes it.... perhaps that's the reason and not real wrong zem files.

Tinnus, by the way, the PSI installer is EVEN MORE UNSTABLE THAN THE NORMAL BINNARIES.... It doesn't fixes the .zem problem and it REALLY MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO USE (TO USE NOT TO PLAY) LJP. LJP crashes even by pressing the home icon on the tray (the thing is over the buttons and has the B for bluetooth and wifi and other icons)

Um, well, that must be coincidence since the files included should be the same. Anyway, I'm well aware that RC2 is bloddy unstable and that's what I'm trying to solve before launching RC3.

The only flaw I've found when playing with T|X is that Hi-Res + modes (The screen should rotate) don't work, the emulator works (the music plays) but nothing is draw to the screen. When I tap on the screen, the DIA appears (nothing else is drawn to the screen) and I can quit the emulator by tapping the home icon.

Well I don't think it has code for rotation in there currently. To be honest, I'm not sure what yoyo thought would happen in HR+ portrait when he wrote that code, hehe.
