Using the Tungsten|E2, theres for some reason never more than ~3,300kb of RAM free when I use LJP (according to LJP), no matter what I do. FileZ says I have ~15mb free but LJP says I have 3mb free. Thus, I can never run SNES games and I get fatal crashes that relate to memory issues. Even if I use UDMH, it still crashes with a memory error.
Also I'm wondering, isn't the E2 supposed to have 32mb total RAM? FileZ tells me it only has about 16mb total..
I've tried NES though and all the games I've tried work fine.
Edit: Oh, and I'm using the latest LJP 1.0 RC2. Should I try an older version?

i think of the 32mb total theres: 16mb rom 4mb heap ram-what u need 4 port emulators etc and the rest storage ram.

So what is it that I need to do to get it to actually run, or is it simply not possible? I found another thread relating to the T|E2 and it seems it pretty much isn't possible unless you wipe the memory completely.
Edit: This is why FileZ tells me: ROM Size: 8257536 bytes RAM Size: 15728640 bytes Free RAM: 15028224 bytes
What should I set UDMH to give LJP?

try 2 free up some ram. set udmh to 8000 and keep setting it to higher # if it doesn't work.

I tried 8000 and it gave me different memory errors, quite a lot of them, before freezing and causing me to have to reset.
Edit: For the exact error message that I get (on one instance), (in yellow text) "Out of memory... [box]"
FATAL ALERT DataMgr.c, Line:8872, DmWrite:DmWriteCheck failed [RESET]
But it won't let me press the reset, and then I have to do a reset via the button in the back.
If I try 12000k, I get this:
Infos cannot sys_alloc 557056 Bytes
free ram:12000/14860
cannot sys_alloc 139264 Bytes.
free ram:12000/14860
cannot sys_alloc 262144 Bytes.
free ram:12000/14860
cannot sys_alloc 131072 Bytes
free ram:12000/14860
(in yellow text) Out of memory...[box]
Fatal Alert DataMgr.c, Line:8872, DmWrite:DmWriteCheck failed
[Reset]
And again, it completely freezes.

Try to defragment your palm memory : save all your data, hotsync your palm, hard reset it and reinstal/hotsync to get all back. udmh cant really do anything with a memory fragmented handlet.
hope it help.

does UDMH support the kind of memory that the E2 has? I mean the kind of mem that doesnt reset when the battery drains. I thought it was unsupported by UDMH

the lastest UDMH is support this memory, anyway you must set automatic memory managment in UDMH, so it can maximize aviable memory for LJP

If I set it to automatic I get about 18mb free, but it still crashes. So I guess I'd have to defrag; the unfortunate part is that I'm borrowing it from my friend for the weekend and don't have a way to hotsync, so I can't defrag. And yes, I've got UDMH 3.0. Funny, I can run ZDoomZ just fine but I can't emulate SNES. Bummer.

My Zire 72 needs about 21mb free on ram to run SNES. Try to clean unused applications or move it to SD

Hmm, My Tungsten E have free memory just 28.5Mb (maximum) and LJP on SD card. It still not enough memory when I launch SNES game Chrono Trigger - error messages:
Infos Out of memory loading PNO [OK]
Infos Error while loading PNO [OK]
Infos 259 [OK]
Then back to browser LJP in current SNES category. No crash or freeze. Other SNES games I did tested -- same errors.

so why you can't put the message box "you need to install UDMH" when udmh not installed on palm? You can add to help understand people. Just I don't understand why was error out of memory. I posted here and understand that need udmh!

Hi, I'm trying to run LJP with UDMH, but I get the
"Out of memory loading PNO." "Error while loading PNO" "259"
error everytime, even though it shows 31110K of free RAM. I'm using a T5 and here's the info on UDMH:
Total size: 19.005.168 bytes Free space: 31.880.120 bytes Max chunk size: 16.777.200 bytes
It was working until yesterday, I don't know why it stopped working. I installed MMPlayer yesterday. Could MMPlayer be the problem?
Thanks
