I've installed the LJP emulator to my Palm OS 5.0 Zire 3.1 model, and I don't know how to get games onto it. The instructions say to put the ROMS into a folder, but I can't find the said folder.
Help please.

Run LJP once with your expansion card inserted, and it will create the necessary folders on the card. Then copy the roms into the proper folder, e.g. /Palm/Programs/LJP/GB/roms for GameBoy roms. If you don't have a card reader, you can try the shareware CardExport at www.softick.com . Otherwise you're stuck with the slow process of renaming the extension of your roms to .prc or .pdb or .mp3, hotsyncing them, then changing their extensions back again with a utility such as the free FileZ at www.palmgear.com .

(P.S.: You *need* an SD card)

Here some thing I like to use to install roms. It allows yous you to designate where a file with a certian extension (.smc) is supposed to qo when using quick install. I believe this is the link for it. May not be, but it is burried in the boards some where if you care to look it up. I googled it. www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/carddirectories.shtml I'm Fairly for sure that it is the right program though

I got a few games (NES) on the palm. But I get some errors.
"Cannot sys_alloc 125952 Bytes. free ram : 22/18"
Another error:
"MemoryMgr.c, Line:3632, NULL handle"
What's this mean?

Well, here we go again The Zire 31 has only 1 MB dynamic memory, and the NES emulation requires around 2 MB. It's not the same as the storage memory that you check in your palm's launcher, although you'll still need alot of it to be free for the process to work. LJP's launcher will show how much dynamic memory is available. Do a complete backup of your palm, then go to www.palmpowerups.com and pick up a copy of udmh. It's shareware and lasts one week, so do a lot of testing and save up your money to register. You'll be glad you did. In udmh's config screen, add LJP and configure it to have at least 2 MB available. In your launcher, make sure you have at least 2 MB free memory plus around 1 MB overhead . So that's around 3 MB free memory to run NES games. You'll need higher settings in udmh and more free memory to run most of the other emulation modules.

However, do not set any value in UDMH *at first*. Only if it doesn't work otherwise.
