Using LJP savestates in zsnes and then back to LJP

Can someone give me a really in-depth way to do this? Searching the forums seems to indicate it's possible but I can't figure out how to accomplish it.

I want to play a saved game that was saved with LJP in zsnes in order to get past a point that just seems impossible to maneuver on my poor Treo 650 handheld, and then go back to using that state on LJP again after I've accomplished the puzzle. Everything I read says that it's possible but no instructions and every time I try to load the state in zsnes the program freezes.

Help please!!

nevermind, I got it to work myself using snes9x instead of zsnes.

for anybody wondering this: I just copied the rom and srm file from my SD card along with the states I wanted to use onto my computer. I renamed the states to .000, .001 and .002, then loaded them with snes. worked perfectly and then I renamed them back to .zst files when I was finished. hoorah!
