Well, I just dled SMB2 (the real one from japan), and its in the FDS file format along with the bios rom, and I can't get it to work with LJP. So my question is, do you plan on incorperating Famicom support anytime soon?

(first: never say "I just dled (insert game name here)" or you might get in trouble ) Now, I don't quite understand that. Wasn't Famicom supposed to be the same as the NES? Can anyone direct me to an emulator that supports this "other" Famicom format?

The FDS file format is the Famicom Disk System, a japan-only add-on. FCE Ultra is a really good emulator that supports games in this format. There have been some fan translations of FDS games, and they also have an extra sound channel. The FCE Ultra site on SourceForge is dead and gone, but you can still get the source off of Zophar's Domain. Get the 0.98.12 source, the .13-pre is incomplete and unstable. www.zophar.net/nes.htmlSpeaking of FCE Ultra, it runs Just Breed just fine...you might want to take a look at how FCE Ultra emulates it because Just Breed has a graphics problem that makes the game unplayable in LJP. It's one of the best fan translated SRPGs on the system, so it'd be a shame if we couldn't play it on our Palms! I noticed Castlevania 3 (the japanese version, fan translated) shares the same mapper but doesn't have the same problem. Just some slight jumpiness in the picture. I suspect it has something to do with the vertical/horizontal and that Just Breed is 0.75 megabit, one of the biggest games for the Famicom and one of the few above 512k.
