I was using the SNES emulator and all of a sudden I'm looking at the digitizer setup screen. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Sometimes bad memory pointers are returned and we end up writing stuff in places we shouldn't; ie: OS areas. The system automatically hard-resets as a precaution.
Were you using UDMH? How much free memory? Using UDMH raises the probability of this kind if stuff happening a LOT since a bad pointer can overwrite storage memory data. Also, little free memory also increases the risk.
