I don't know what does "sim" mean in the Audio option. Also no sound?

I just use my Tungsten T2 to play nes.

When turn audio "off" or "sim", the speed is quite good, over 50 FPS. But if I turn on the audio, the speed will go down to only 10-20 FPS.

Also when audio is "on", the sound in some games are OK, but some are noisy.

Anyway, thanks for this great emulator.

The sim option is to simulate (fake) the sound to the ROM. Some ROMs won't run without knowing that sound is being emitted... is what I gather. I haven't had a need to use it on any of my ROMs, so it seems kinda rare in my experience.
