Hi- first time poster.
I just installed LJP on my Treo 650, and it seems to be working flawlessly ( Verizon version 1.14 I think ).
My question is this, does or will this program ever have the ability to use the keyboard buttons for in game buttons? Ive tried to remap to the keyboard to no avail. I have what you call sausage fingers... so trying to use the dpad and still get to the "a" and "b" bottoms is really a chore.
Thanks for the great program.

Well, please use the search function before posting anything (or even just look around a little!) since this has been discussed TONS and TONS of times. Very, very, very unlikely that it will not happen because we simply don't know how to do it

A simple addition to that: Most (non-treo) keyboards send virtual graffiti strokes to the palm; this would mean that Tinnus would have to have a text input/parsing engine running in parallel with the emulation... possible, but a TON of work for him (he'd have to learn how to patch into it to begin with), and detrimental to the emulation/memory requirements. Next, different keyboards use different drivers and methods of input (cradle, IR, BT, etc.) that interface with various versions of Graffiti -- which would cause even more overhead. The Treo itself uses a completely different input driver IIRC, so it would require access to the Treo SDK and a Treo to really get it working... which seems like a lot of overkill if it is only going to work on a subset of devices.

Nah, I wouldn't need to use text parsing or anything, I'd just need to catch key events.
Which, I'm sorry, would make the emulator useless speed-wise.

So are you Treo users able to get LJP to work for the most part? I want to purchase a Treo 650 in the near future. I figure that if there are a lack of buttons, RPGs would still work fine and that is all I really want to play anyway Otherwise I would get out my Zodiac2 and enjoy proper game controls

I can get LJP to work fine on my 650 for NES, but if I try to load an SNES rom it crashes. I dunno if there's some config or extra install i'm not doing, but any help would be appreciated - I'm new at this.

i'm guessing that you need udmh because there is not enough heap memory. that's how it is on most devoces and i'm pretty sure that that's the way it is on the treo 650. you can buy udmh for about $10 or you can be really cheap and poor like me and wait for the next version of LJP or LJR to come out and not have to use udmh (unlimited dynamic memory hack).

How long til people actually read the pinned threads? It'll be out when it's done. As you can see from the threads, it is not abandoned; Tinnus is still working on it. If you read the other threads, you'll even see that he's been posting updates.
