Well, "closed" the BT gamepad is much like a small snes gamepad, its not really usefull to play in transport, but at least it does not hurt the handled keys. Anyway, having irda and bluetooth support for all the "Z" products you maintain and for LJP would be a great step in making our handled a more "player friendly" device

The support for the BT gamepad and a standard IR keyboard is solved (see other thread), if only this gamepad would have a better design... Buit there is one guy in the net who put it into a PS1 gamepad, kinda cool, I will do it too :-) I've just sent you an email, buddy, you're really smart! I have an UX-50 and my dream to play yoyofr&tinnus&you stuff on it seamlessly with a wireless pad is about to come true! I'll thank you forever! Can't wait for it! Best Regards to all you guys & to other people sticking around here, one of the best places around the Net! ;D

@ angel & metaviewPlease, what do you mean by "knowing which keys are pressed"? Just don't understand the matter... Anyway, if THERE is a chance and it involves donation, who cares? I'll donate, I'd love to see ZdoomZ & LJP working seamlessly with UX keyboard! Best Regards, folks.

Donating to metaview or tinnus is easy (for metaview check his website www.metaviewsoft.de/en/index.html, for tinnus its writen in his sign). What he mean is simple : When you press a key, "something occure" on your handled. Actually, without having one in his hand to test and know "what occure", metaview have no way to collect this informations and makes your keyboard compatible. The second possibility would be you "send" your handled by mail to metaview, he test and return to you (considering you'll have to arrange for the both fees). That need great trust because of our toy price... i'm even not sure he will accept because of the danger of sending such fragile thing by mail...

It seems to me that there should be an easier way: Either, 1) read the technical specs for the device (all the Palm ones are available from them... I've read through a number of the specs, and they provide this information at both the hardware and OS levels) 2) write an app that gathers the information and dumps it to a memo. Then let people download it and run it. This, of course, would be more difficult, as you'd have to know at least somewhat what you're looking for.

Heh; I actually did some looking yesterday; it looks like Sony scrapped their developer program when they stopped selling Clies. SOMEONE must have the documentation, but Sony's no longer providing it. Oh well.

I have the Sony docs, as far as they where available. But unfortunately, there is nothing about the UX50 or any keyboard related stuff.

No, I haven't found anything. You might ask people like Dmitry or other people hacking Cliés. If one knows, then they will.

If it supports only the HID profile we are out of luck, until someone understands the way how to talk to HID devices....

Impossible, no Palms are USB hosts.

Not completely true; there are two Palm devices that do have hosting capabilities. Their names slip my mind, but this debate has raged on a number of other boards.

Would It take a lot (of CPU) to do raw mode to the BT gamepad?Or just POP it off the stack?(???I think BT runs in the background???)

BT shares the system clock, unlike WiFi, which contains its own clock. That means that polling BT will eat up CPU cycles, so you would see performance degradation. However, I don't see that it would be much more than polling a hardware keyboard.
