Hey I use two methods of putting ROM's on my Palm, one I think is new (cuz I searched using 'search' ). 1: I have used two card readers found on PalmGear (just have to type in 'Card Reader' and the first two I use are the first two listed ;D). 2-New I believe: You can either use ZLauncher...or my favorite iSpin (both also found on PalmGear). On iSpin you open up the Blazer (internet on Palm), open up the LJP folder, then slide the downloaded file into the LJP folder! You don't even need to HotSync or anything! Just need internet on your palm. Sorry if this is listed in another spot I just like the fact that I don't need to go through the long(ish) process of HotSync. No yells necessary *I put this in the LJP forum because I'm not sure if the second method works on others (if they have internet).** ~andddlay~

And what do iSpin or ZLauncher have to do with it?

Sorry didn't respond earlier...
Ok say I'm on vacation (which I am right now :-P) and I want to download a new ROM for GameBoy (which I did-Tetris if you want to know :-)). I went online using Palm TX's WiFi and downloaded the ROM. So of course I didn't bring my cord (and I'm sure the people at the hotel wouldn't allow me to plug stuff into their computer)....SOOOO I: 1.) Opened iSpin, 2.) Opened up two folders (Blazer downloads and GameBoy ROMs folder), 3.) Dragged the downloaded Tetris file to the GameBoy ROMs folder (using iSpin's sweet toolbar) AAAANNNNDDDD then...opened up LJP GameBoy and there it was!
I hope I wrote this right--sitting on bed typing this very very slowly...
I personally think it's easier on iSpin-cuz I like it better :-). Others may think otherwise...but I'm a big iSpin fan :-)
Tell me what you think Tinnus :-).....Thinking I'm the first noticing this. *pats on back* lol
~andddlay~
i actually had to use a paid internet in the hotel to send this lol...crazy stuff

I'd recommend FileZ to move files around since it's completely free and easy to use as well. ie: if you JUST want to move files around and don't want a different launcher

I would recommend resco explorer! Its not free but it is very useful (zip-unzip, move, file asociations-TCPMP too!-, internal image viewer, etc) BTW, is there some app thas combines cardreader+filebrowser?

There's a windows app: SyncWizard, not free however. Kinda cool; window shows the same icons as palm.

I'm a happy (so far) Palm TX owner, unfortunately haven't purchased an sd card yet. I've been trying to launch NES roms putting them into my internal memory (Palm\Programs\etc...), unfortunately none (neither the zipped ones) worked. Even tried the RC3, with changing the path to the roms - no luck.... I'm using resco explorer to change the extension of a file, hotsyncing it as a supported gif/jpg file before (hate these roundabouts...). Does any of this makes sense, or I just have to purchase an SD to make it finally happen?

oh ok one more thing... i figured out the full path to the NES rom is somewhat ( a:/PALM/Programs/etc... ) and I tried adding this 'a:' suffix before the whole path in LJP, again that annoying message: "no roms found"...

Drop the "a:". The PalmOS doesn't use drive letters. I hope this helps.

I don't think you can put files inside the TX memory... AFAIK it doesn't have an internal drive. You need a card.
What are you using to "transfer the files to the internal memory"?

He can do it using E2InternalDrive from palmpowerups.com -- then his internal 128MB shows up as if it's an SD card. However, I have no idea if this is compatible with LJP.
The TX does have an internal drive; however, it's "hidden" to the Palm UI -- you can browse it using Resco Explorer, and Blazer saves downloads to it. It also stores all the T-Mobile stuff, and some images/movies for the Media Player. I think Docs2Go can see it as well.

I believe it should be compatible as long as the VFS functions work with it.
