Not sure when it started happening really... but LJP stopped working on most games on my Treo 650 randomly.
If I start the games w/o a save, they just either sit at a black screen running around 49 fps or, in Earthbound's case, it flashes a red and black screen. If I load the save, I see the screen, and then it goes black. In Earthbound, I see the screen, it goes black and then there's crazy annoying shrieking sounds. Some other games that won't work anymore: Secret of Mana, Breath of Fire 2, etc.
Games that do work still: Final Fantasy 2/3, some others (which leads me to believe it's not a memory issue, since FF3 is huge).
RC2/3 both do the same thing... I erased everything on my SD card in the LJP folder and reinstalled it all (including new copies of the ROMs, thinking they might be corrupt).
I guess if noone else knows what might be the problem, the next step is to format my Treo itself, but I'd rather not lose my phone numbers... so if anyone has a clue, lemme know!
Thanks, Tim

How much Free RAM and DB Cache do you have? If you're not using UnCache and UDMH, one of these has probably got smaller by you installing something on your Treo.

I believe UDMH frees up 17MB of ram (According to the LJP screen) so I figure that should be enough (especially since the error happens in Earthbound, which is a lot smaller than FF3).
I'm not sure how much DB Cache I have free, but I tried installing UnCache and removing all but UDMH from the list (and restarted).
I even tried a hard reset with just LJP / UDMH / PxaClocker in ram and still no luck :/ Maybe there's a problem with my firmware? I'm not sure.
Also, I just uploaded a custom rom that freed up 18.9MB now... Secret of Mana and Breath of Fire 2 are both smaller than Final Fantasy 3 and Chrono Trigger (FF3 and CT work fine.) but do not work. They start and sit at a black screen at 49 fps (always 49).

Are you using the ASM core or the C core? The C core is more compatible (and slower).

I was having the same problem too, then I switched to the C core and everything started working ok. Does anyone know if using zipped roms is slower?

Only a little bit for loading, gameplay is the same.
