Okay, I got my SNES game 7th Saga working. Great! But at some point during one of my saves, I turned off my sound and was not able to get it working again! I can hear sound in previous savestates, but I cannot get sound working again in the current one. The sound settings are default (22mhz) and the sound is turned On (not SIM).
Ideas??

This is a standard issue with LJP, and shows up in almost all games. The solution: Restore from save state, and play to where you can battery save your game. Relaunch, load that save, and then freeze state. Good to do this from time to time anyway.

I understand that, all except for the terms "battery save" and "freeze state". Am I missing vital information on using LJP? If so, please forgive me, I'm very new

The battery save is the save that occurs in the actually game. The freeze state is the save that you can do anytime while playing the game because you are using an emulator. Hopefully I explained that alright.

Just to expand a little: The battery save is done while playing the game using the game's own functions, just like when using a real cartridge and console. The freeze state is done by using LJP's functions, like tapping the disk icon on the beltbar or tapping the center of the screen to access the OSD and selecting a save slot. They are both saved into different files: .srm for the battery save and .za# for freeze states, where # is the number of the LJP save slot.

That's not a issue with LJP--it's a consequence of the way the SNES works. For sound to work, the CPU and the sound chip need to be in sync. When you turn sound OFF, you turn OFF the sound chip and that syncronisation is lost. If you save a state with sound OFF, you don't save the sound chip syncronization, as a result when you load the state the chips are again not syncronized and sound won't work.
As everyone said, save the game using the game's internal save function, then exit, turn sound ON, start and load from that.
If you just want to turn sound OFF because you want no sound FOR NOW, use SIM... it does the processing (keeps syncrony) but doesn't output anything.
