Hi guys, I have a problem and I am sure someone has a very simple solution. I have a palm TX, and installed LJP following the instructions, the program itself runs fine, but the moment i try to open a rom it attempts to load it and just resets the palm. I go back into LJP and it would reset it again, and then the next time LJP would load properly. I have not had any success in running any roms yet because it would just reset.
Any advice?
Thanks, much appreciated fibbo.

Did you installed udmh, dbcache and so ? If not, your palm reset because the lack of dynamic memory. And for snes you'll surely need to overclock your device as well.
Look at the thread "HOWTO Optimize your LD (or anything NVFS) for LJP".

I have spent many hours trying to get my TX to work but there doesnt seem to be much documentation... -installed udmh -installed dbcache + DAlauncher Soft reset, DAlaunched dbcache ... cache clear, tick box in udmh, open LJP and it says i have 4950kb RAM free, launch a rom and it soft resets. please help, I would love to impress my gf with alex kidd (old sega master system game LOL) because it was one of her favourite games like 12 years ago. Cheers everyone, fibbo.

do something : use resco backup to save your data on sd card hard reset your palm install the stuff so ljp works (like udmh, etc...) look if it work, if yes, install again each of your soft one after the other using resco backup to find the one who "block" some memory for ljp. its lots of work, but ljp deserves it

Also, you appear to have missed the point where you use UDMH to manually assign 19600KB to LJP. This is a required step. You might find that installing UnCache will fix everything for you as well, as you probably have an extension conflict -- UnCache will disable all of these, freeing up memory, and also stamping out the conflict(s).

Angel and EM thankyou for your replies, I shall try a backup and hard reset install if we cannot get this to work without a hard reset. Ok, so I've assigned 19600kb to LJP in UDMH. soft reset, dbcache clears, run UDMH tick the box, go into LJP and it says i have 19600kb free, launch a Sega Master System game, and it resets So the memory is actually free but it still just resets, any clues guys? cheers, fibbo

also... with the roms eg. shinobi.sms is in card\PALM\programs\LJP\sms\roms\shinobi.sms and I can see that it exists when i am in LJP (but resets when I try to launch it). However, snes games with the .smc extension I have put into the \snes\roms\ directory and I can see that they are there with FileZ but LJP says no rom? I dont know what is going on this is so confusing, how are you all making this work?
