Hi! I searched the forums to try to find the answer to my problem but couldn't find anything definitive. So I decided to come out of lurking and create an account I recently got myself a shiny new Palm TX and came across your wonderful program. I love it! The only problem is there are a few SNES games that don't load... the game name appears but the screen stays black and the FPS counter stays at 49fps until the palm resets after about 10 seconds or so. Here are some games that this happens with: -F-Zero -Super Mario Kart -Earthbound -Donkey Kong Country -Sonic Blastman II I've tried running with C core and turning sound on/off but no luck. I also have UDMH, UnCache and WarpSpeed installed. Are there any programs that interfere with LJP? Any ideas why certain games won't load? Thanks!

yoyofr.proboards44.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1158956115_Em explains quite a bit on problems for T|X but the settings he gives for his work fine for some of those games. I tried out F-Zero, Super Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Country. Don't own the others so couldn't see. the "w" is for windows build -- Snes9x runs on almost every OS out there. If it runs on snes9x and not on LJP, it's either a bug in LJP or else it's time for you to clean up some interfering apps and/or do a hard reset. I can verify that Front Mission and Super Mario RPG don't work with the ASM configuration, but F-Zero and ToP work fine for me. The following works for SMRPG: GFX: GFX ENGINE: SW1 TRANSPARENCY: ON FAST SPRITES: ON FRAMESKIP: AUTO ZOOM: 1.25 FULLSCREEN: OFF SMOOTHING: 1 FLIPPING: OFF SOUND: SOUND: ON VOLUME: WHATEVER OTHER: AUTO: OFF EMU SPEED: 100% CPU CORE: C HACKS: IGN. FIX CLR CHANGES: ON IGN. CLP WIN CHANGES: OFF IGN. ADD/SUB CHANGES: OFF IGN. PALLETTE WRITING: OFF That should work for you too.

I actaully had a similar problem with several of my ROMs...some of them I still haven't fixed (I think all the Donkey Kong Country games) but a few of them I fixed by getting a new ROM. It seems the one I had didn't want to run on LJP even though it would on other emulators, but the new one worked fine. Come to think of it the old one might have been in PAL format. I wonder if that creates a problem?

Awesome, thanks guys! I got it working.
@ countbuggula - For most of the ones that didn't work I just had to find a new ROM like you said. In one case I had to get the same game 4 times from different sources in order to find a working one. I guess all ROMs aren't created equal.
@ demise - The settings for Mario RPG work great
Thanks again

So far been quite lucky, haven't installed a single corrupted rom file. Only had some trouble tweaking the settings for the programs needed to run LJP.
