Hello , Just wondering, if I use pxaclocker and I go into the clock frequencies screen of LJP and I change around, so, that the cpu clock is ~400, from the 200 it used to be, does that mean that it will cause LJP to run at 400Mhz or is there something else I have to do? Also, how do I know if I actually overclocked? Is there anyway to test it, because when I use speedy, it mentions the same 200mhz speed? Will I have to overclock my X-launcher to see any results? Thanks

::)Never used PXA clocker, only warpspeed, but yep, from what you say I think LJP will run at 400mhz (if your palm stands it^^u)
Also, if actually you have to add apps to be overclocked, then you need to add speedy to see some change... btw you can tell youre overclocking in if
a) game goes smoother b) Your device crashes with no reason ^^u (try a bit less)
uhhh.. hope my post isnt worthless ^^u

Speedy is a PalmOS program that benchmark your Palm's CPU speed, so if you see the score is higher, or the Mhz is higher than before you overclocked, then yes, you are overclocking indeed.
Just be sure you back up your file before you really try to overclock, because if your Palm can't handle the speed you've set, sometimes it's very likely that your data on the Palm will be lost (basiclly gone back to the time where you first bought it and have to install stuff in there).
Personally I don't like PXA Clocker very much, because the last few times I tried it, I just couldn't get it right, even though it has more features than Lightspeed, but I like the fact that with Lightspeed, all you have to do is click "High", "Normal", "Low", and it'll pick what's the best and safest speed your Palm can run at.
If you're interested in Lightspeed, please let me know what Palm you're using first, Lightspeed is no longer being worked on by the developer, so if your Palm is not supported by Lightspeed, it won't work, but I think it should, since the supported devices is almost the same as PXA Clocker.
PS: Please use PM if you're interested in Lightspeed.

The reason I asked about overclocking is since when I overclocked LJP using PXA Clocker, I didn't notice any change even going double my 200mhz speed on my tungsten. Also, when you run speedy, I know it does the benchmark thing but do u have to do that within the program itself, since, if I overclock LJP and use LJP. Then after I check speedy and still 200mhz? For one thing, I wasn't sure if it even overclocked it. Thanks

If a program is set to over/underclock in PXA Clocker, when the application is launched, it will run at that speed. When the palm resets or the application is exited, the palm's CPU will run at the default speed, unless PXA is set to overclock the currently running app. If you want to make sure it is overclocking, set Speedy to overclock and it will show when you launch it. Also, make sure the 'Enabled' checkbox is checked in PXA. Hope that helps.

Hello there, I overclocked speedy to 400mhz and ran it, yet it still showed me that my speed is 200mhz. My guess is that it didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks
