I have a treo 650, I've been using the older 2 system for a bit now and its been decently successful, but when I found 3 today I loaded it and tried getting gameboy color to work, nothing, none of the games work at all So I reverted back, and now everything is screwy, I can get it to play, but it is a TOTAL PAIN to get the GFX setup right, I have NES and Gameboy setup decently, but I cannot get Game Gear to do it SNES doesnt play on either version, gives me lots of errors Any Ideas? Thanks

Whenever doing any upgrading or downgrading, the ljp.ini file in /Palm/Programs/LJP/ should be deleted. Would likely be helpful also to delete the Saved Preference entry LJPM 2 using Filez. Are the snes errors something like "out of memory", "cannot load pno"? If so, you'll need udmh.

Ya I just figured out the UDMH thing and got them to play, but rather choppy
I did delete the old LJP on the palm, but didnt see anything that accompanied it, so I'll try that filez thing
My main thing with the Gameboy issue is that I love links awakening zelda, and want the DX color version to work, when I was on 3 I didnt see any options for GB/GBC, yet i read on here and in the readme that it did, does the emulator launch screen look the same with the yellow gameboy in the bottom left or does it change with the upgrade?

In a directory on your VFS card (external one ) under Palm/programs/LJP there is a file called ljp.ini that you need to delete and replace with the one that came in your package. for example, if you are upgrading from RC2 to RC3 you need to delete ljp.ini from your card and then install ljp.ini from the RC3 package that you downloaded. Hope that helps, Luke

Ahh cool. I used the packaged installer thingy so that it was just one part and then it unpacked it all when I installed it. Is that ok or should I get that one that you install individually? I'll try that in a minute, thanks

Actually, the ljp.ini file is created upon first launching ljp. If not deleted when changing versions, problems are likely to result as the information contained within would reference a different version of ljp. The Gameboy module will play both Gameboy and Gameboy Color games from the same screen with the little yellow Gameboy in the corner. If the rom is for sure Zelda Link's Awakening DX, check the extension of the rom to make sure it is gbc or cgb. If it is gb, it may not be the color DX rom, or it may have been misnamed. Try an overclocker to gain extra speed, such as Lightspeed, PXAclocker, or warpSpeed. UDMH needs free memory to work with; make sure you've got at least 8 MB free RAM. The self-installer and the manual install contain the same essential emulator files, the only difference is that the self-installer creates all the necessary folders and puts the files in the right place, whereas the other you've got to create the folders and put the files in the right places.
