i have a sony clié PEG NX-80
little john installed fine and the roms showed up
but when i tried to launch the rom a screen popped up saying "fatal error" and it made me reset
ive tried UDMH and freeing up some memory but nothing works! PLEASE HELP!

Need more details. What ROMs have you tired? What systems are you emulating?

That error sounds like a bad rom dump. The other things to look at, as discussed in these threads, are dynamic heap (install and tweak UDMH), and DB Cache (Install MemUnFragment or UnCache or move some of your software from RAM to your SD Card).

the roms were a sonic the hedgehog1 .smd file and a sonic spinball .bin file, both for genesis
im not so sure it has to do with the memory, btw

nm yes it does have to do with memory... but memunfragment doesnt work and udmh doesnt seem to do anything

My bad; I misread what device you had. However, UDMH requiress you to set up a profile for LJP... set the memory to 19600 in the profile, and you should have better luck.
If you're still having problems, how much space do you have free in internal memory?

What version on LJP are you using? If it is RC3 then you need to get the Genesis module from RC2 because the module in RC3 doesn't work. Also, the more space you have free on your PDA the more memory UDMH can make available to LJP to run the games. I make sure that I have at least 8 mb free on my palm.

thanx u guys are really helpful ill try those as soon as i get home good news: i got NES and SMS to work so theres no doubt that its memory but wow so far this an amazing emu i cant believe its free!! bad news: once again it seems i cant use fullscreen :-\ the only thing from this site that i can use in fullscreen so far is ZdoomZ PS happy thanksgiving  |
