Treo 650 WaveTap required

I tried installing LJP just like any other palm apps and when I try to launch it it gives me the error "WaveTap required" and it doesn't load. I've read through all the posts on this forum and couldn't find anyone else (with a 650) having the same issue. Is my treo a piece of garbage?

	Zire72 + 256 mb sd card + LJP 1.0 RC3 + UDMH + warpSpeed = A whole lot of fun
