Okay so heres the deal, My dad and I got a palm pilot tungsten E2 for my 10 year old sister for christmas and we would like to put LJP on it so she can play some mario games for snes but both of us are pretty unknowledgable when it comes to computers and we're really confused right now. I tried installing 1.0 but it kept on giving me a memorymgr.c Null error when ever I tried to launch a rom, even after 4 reinstalls so I decided to try .7 but that says "can not launch rom" and "out of memory"(this is especially puzzling because the pda's internal memory is 82% empty) every time. I've tried it with multiple roms but with no sucess on any. All roms are in the correct folder in .zip format. If someone could help me to get either version running that would be excellent.
Thanks in advance, Patrick Gilfether

Install the RC2 or RC3.
For the memory, the answer are all within the forum, search the sticky in first then use the search function.

Hey there, How is it going? I also have a palm tungsten E2 and I can tell you that RC3 didn't work with my palm, it kept on giving me problems, so, I stuck with RC2. Some important points: - First, make sure that you have as much free memory as possible, my palm has about 17mb free. - Second, you would have to get UDMH. You can get a free trial at palmpowerups.com. When you get it, add LJP and then change the options for LJP. I checked the "Clean up for this app" box and I put in the number ~17000 for memory. - Third, you would need a memory card. When you run LJP after installation for the first time when your memory card is still in your palm, it creates the correct folders. Make sure to follow the installation steps correctly and make sure not to misplace roms. - Fourth, I can tell you with a lot of confidence that after I followed all these steps, I was able to get most snes roms to work, provided I reset my palm first. *** I have had no problems whatsoever running genesis or nes roms with or without sound, although, for genesis roms, the sound slowed down the game. *** To note, you will have to experiment around with the settings for the snes to get it to run some games, because, not all games run with the same settings and some require different settings to run. I would also recommend that you turn off the sound, as that can make it go really slow(speaking from experience). Your palm will crash when you are trying the different settings for the snes, but there is no other way around that. For video for snes, I have frame skip to 1, display size to Full.x1(hi+) and I have Fast sprites box checked. For audio, it's usually OFF, unless the game needs it, then I would choose SIM. For Other, I usually try ASM core, since, it's faster than C, but if it crashes when I try to play a rom, then I select C core. Finally, after you fix the settings and a game is running, before, you can actually play it, you will get error messages in the snes, these are normal (I have no reason why they come up, but they just do ), they would say something about the ram, after those 2 messages or so, you get an "Out of memory" error in the middle of the screen, clicking on that, would display the name of the rom and then a couple of seconds, it will start. Good Luck and tell me how it goes

Quick note, you shouldn't need to clean any space on NVFS devices like the E2 since what we need is real RAM and not the flash memory from the storage area.

www.pdroms.deNo need to double post. Not only that, but at any other forum you would have been banned for asking such a question (read the forum rules to find out why).
