hello volks bevore i start crying about the missing (display)Features or Performance(in screenfilling disp.modes or with saving/loading), i wantet to say that LJP is just like it is an absolute fantastic programm ! I realy never thought that someday il be able to play SuperNintendo on my palm !!! the only thing that i am a little sad about is that the "flipLefthand"-(480x320)-screenmode like in zdoomz is not there. . . There is this 2x dsiplaySize feature but its only stretching in the same displaymode not turning the sreen in the panorama position like tcpmp or ZdoomZ ... maybe this is something easy for you guys to implement in the nEaR future ?!?!? Im sure there are plenty of t3-t5 user´s on this planet who realy will start freakin out if you round up a bit -this still awesum palmProgramm you created ! ;)merlin

Speaking for Tinnus: LJP is dead. Long live LJX! If you'll read the other posts on here, you'll see that Tinnus has no finish date, but that LJX (formerly known as LJR) is in active development. It will be cross-platform, and will run on Palm, PPC, Windows, OS X, Linux, PSP, and probably a number of other platforms. There's a feature request thread where your post would probably make the most sense. Welcome to the bulletin board

Wait, did I say the name was officially changed to LJX?
Geez, this community is far too strong. Sometimes I get the feeling it pushes the software forwards faster than the developers ;D

Well, we'll leave the development to you, and just handle the PR If you release it as LJR, we'll "officially" change the name back

Ok, to inform you about my tries to get LJP compiling:
It compiles and I found the error which stopped the emulation from starting: there is a misterious loop with an int variable, which exceeds when int is a signed 16-bit value, means the loop never ends. I fixed it a year ago in the Z-Games, and still wonder how it works for anyone else. Aren't the settings inside the CW-project files? Anyway, it runs and now I will add support for Treo keyboard, BT gamepad and IR keyboard. Maybe I will also change the way the launcher is organized, as it doesn't comply at least to the standard way PalmOS apps are structured.
Regards Henk

I'm really excited about setting my snes keys on the keyboard because using the screen just isn't my thing. I have a treo 650. when will this release be done do you think, or is it already?

Hey... I think if he wants to use RC2/3 as a place to test GUI enhancements, that's great! After all, LJX isn't done yet, so we can test out new UIs on the old stuff in the meantime. That way, when you're ready to do the GUI for the new one, you'll know a number of the issues, plus what people find works/doesn't work.

You got the LJP source working? Sweet! It won't be long before I can get to punching Rabites without the extra frameskip...
Oh, and while this is a bit off-topic, I get a crash when configuring every key on the IR keyboard in ZDoomZ when I tested it, and can only get around it by tapping the "Stop" button. Think you can fix that for an enhanced LJP to hold us over in the meantime?

That way, when you're ready to do the GUI for the new one, you'll know a number of the issues, plus what people find works/doesn't work. I have a GUI in the works, but it's more suitable for touchscreen-less devices (PSP, GP2X, PS2) and VERY far from PalmOS interface standards ;P Think cool graphical backgrounds with spinning ring menus. Kinda like DDR arcade machines mixed with the SnesTYL UI. Yeah, like that. But cooler, easier and simpler I'll post a screenshot in some days so you all get the picture (literally). And ask for good graphics to put in (the example will probably be MS-Paint art by yours truly). I'll probably do a derivative of that for the Palm version, using standard PalmOS interface gadgets and guidelines, but following the same "flow" of things.

I just wanna say that I am really impressed with the work you guys do and the support for the IR keyboard would be fantastic, since, I have one lying around and collecting dust I know someone already asked this, but just wondering, if there any possible date to expect the release that supports the IR keyboard? Thanks
