Hello I as wondering If LJP is supported on the TJ37. Also if it is will the game controller model (PEGAGC10) be able to be mapped to LJP? Thanks

Anything with OS 5.0 or above, which I think the TJ37 is. I also recall the Sony Game COntroller being compatible. One of the Clie folks will give more sure answers though

Yes, the game controller does work, I have one myself for my Clie NX80V, however, after you mapped the game controller for LJP, when you launch the game it will not work, don't worry, just simply click on the screen so LJP pops out the option screen with SAVE, LOAD, Launcher, Back etc... press some of the controller's buttons then click BACK, then it'll work.
PS: I'd recommand uncheck "Enable Key Emulation" and check "Enable Game Controller" only in the GameCon, because when you have "Enable Key Emulation" enabled and while playing games with LJP, it tends to bring out the LJP option screen when you press some buttons, which I found out by unchecking it will stop this problem.
I am, however, wondering if PEG-VZ90 will be able to run LJP nicely, because I plan to buy one soon...

VZ90 running LJP nicely? Unlikely with its weak sauce Handheld Engine CPU(123 MHz or so), unless LJR/LJX/whatever can somehow harness the graphics accelerator and DSP on it.
Since LJP(and most other apps, for that matter)probably can't take advantage of that silicon, you're pretty much going to be stuck with NES and other old gaming platforms. (Forget Mega Drive/Genesis or SNES unless you have a handheld with an XScale at 400+ MHz, overclocking possibly necessary.)

Aw, too bad then, I guess I'll have to stick with my NX80V for LJP games, I'll just use VZ90 for movies and such.
Tinnus, I know it's the answer is probably never, but do you think you would be able to add support in LJR for the graphic acceleator and DSP? (regardless of how long it'll take)

Never Well, unless someone teaches me how to do so and I find a way to use that stuff to actually improve the emulation. If I'll go looking around myself for something like that just for improving on ONE device from the entire (gigantic) Clie line? Nah, I'm not that crazy ;D edit: Don't worry much with the speed though; my plan is, after finishing a first release, to concentrate on the emulator cores to increase speed and compatibility; which, given what I've learned in emulation the past year, is relatively easy

The VZ90 users aren't the only ones who would benefit from HHE optimizations. The TH55 and UX-series also use HHE CPUs. The question is, can that hardware be leveraged enough to make for playing Genesis and SNES on an otherwise weak device?

Tinnus: Thank you for your reply, and Mobile-Stream provides reverse engineered libraries for Sony and Tapwave specific stuff, including HHE stuff, but since I don't know any PalmOS programming, I don't know if it's any good to you or not. www.mobile-stream.com/devzone.htmlnamelessplayer: Like what you said on the first post up there... but TCPMP has managed to take the benefits from using HHE's GE2D and DSP codec to make it play video files faster/smoother. In any case, if LJR doesn't work out on VZ90 well, then I'll just use NX80V for LJR.

Oh yeah, the HHE stuff. I'll take a look, some guy from Mobile-Stream told me about that a while ago. Thanks for bringing it up again. I'm not sure if the 2D acceleration would be very usable though, since from what I remember it works with YUV color spaces and not RGB (which most consoles, and the emulators in LJP, use). But I will take another look

Thanks again Tinnus, hopefully it will work with RGB also, would be wonderful to be able to play NES, SNES, GB games on that wonderful OLED screen that VZ90 has Oh, by the way, would you be bugging out the sound problem for GB emulation in LJR? as it is currently just making noises which can barely hear the actual game sound.

Really? hmm... may have to do with MCA2 then.. or maybe I should try RC2's module..?
Edit: Tried the RC2 GB module, still the same....

Might want to check with Dmitry too, Tinnus.
